I want to tell you about plot cards. They’re a cool thing that we use in games. These cards aren’t secret, so they have to be face-up so everyone can see them. Let me explain.

Distributing Plot Cards

At the start of each round, I draw Plot cards. For 5-8 players, I draw 2 cards, and for 9-10 players, I draw 3 cards. Then, I give the drawn cards to everyone except myself. Just remember, there are only 5 rounds in total for the game.

Playing Plot Cards

There are three different types of Plot cards:

• Cards that have the Leader symbol (?) are used right away and then thrown away.
• Cards that have the number “1” on them are held onto until you want to use them.
• There is one card with a square icon (?) that stays in the game for the entire duration.

If there is a situation where multiple Plot Cards could be used, the order in which they are used is determined by how close the players are to the Leader. We start with the Leader and move in a clockwise direction.

When we play the game, each of us has one opportunity to play our cards. We can’t change our minds later and play cards after passing on our turn.

If we use a Plot card and learn some information, we can talk about it. But we can’t show our character or Mission cards to the other players.

Opinion Maker

Permanent Effect: When the Leader gives you this card, you need to show your Vote card right away, before anyone else does. It’ll stay in effect until the game is over. But if there are two “Opinion Maker” cards in play, everyone has to reveal their votes at the same time.
