Setting Up the Game
- First, I place the game board right in the middle of the playing area.
- Next, I take all the gems, including the wild ones, and all the ore pieces and place them in the center of the game board. This forms the general supply. I also keep the die next to the game board. The throne goes on space 65 of the power points track.
- After that, I sort the rune stones by their front sides. I place one less than the number of players of each rune stone type (see table) on each of the eight spaces on the game board.
Now it’s your turn. Here’s what you do:
- First, place your player board and overview card in front of you.
- Next, shuffle your druid cards and form a draw pile face down on the left side of your player board.

Keep in mind: The color of the creature(s) I summon does not have to match the color of magic I used.

Now, if I want to make a white wild artifact, things are a bit different. I can use 4 gems of any color to make that one.
By the way, it’s important to remember that I can only make one wild gem during my turn. Just a little rule to keep in mind.

Trading Artifacts
You can choose to discard all the artifacts in each of your two power rows that contain at least 2 artifacts. By doing so, you’ll receive power points and a rune stone from the display. Alternatively, you can choose to keep the artifacts for future use. If you decide to discard them, you’ll earn power points as follows:
After taking my turn, I get to choose one rune stone from the display. Cool, huh? I place it at the top of my player board, and guess what? That’s not all! This rune stone gives me some special abilities that I can use throughout the rest of the game. How awesome is that?
Now, here’s the thing: I can only do this if I don’t already own four rune stones. If I already have four, I don’t get another rune stone. But hey, no worries! I’ll still get some power points, so it’s not a complete loss.

The Game Comes to an End
The game will conclude once a round is completed in which a player reaches or exceeds 65 points (all players receive an equal number of turns). At this point, the game comes to a close, and players move on to the final scoring phase.
In this phase, players will gain additional power points based on the following:
- When I collect 3 pieces of gems and/or wild gems and/or ore, I gain 1 power point.
- If I have artifacts in both rows of power, I receive an additional benefit.
I am deemed the winner of the game and become the ruler of the druids if I have the most power points!
If there is a tie for the highest score, those players will share in the victory.
The black player has received 4 power points, with 3 obtained from the artifacts captured and 1 from the remaining gems. Meanwhile, the beige player has accumulated 7 power points, acquiring 6 from their artifacts and 1 from the gems and ores still in hand. Consequently, the beige player emerges as the frontrunner, ultimately securing victory in the game.
