I’ve got the perfect game for you! It’s called [GAME NAME], and it’s bound to keep you entertained for hours. Let me break down what you’ll find inside the box.

First off, you’ll find a game board that serves as the centerpiece of all the action. It’s where the magic happens! Alongside that, you’ll discover an assortment of different pieces and cards that will enhance your gaming experience.

To start things off, you’ll receive 60 farmer tokens. These little guys represent your workers and are essential for building your empire. They’ll be your loyal companions throughout the game.

Next up, we have 50 landscape cards. These cards showcase different types of terrain in the game. They will come in handy when you’re making strategic decisions and planning out your moves.

Let’s not forget about the 21 building cards. These cards will be your key to constructing impressive structures and expanding your influence. Each card has its unique abilities and advantages, so choose wisely!

Accompanying the building cards, you’ll find 28 building tiles. These tiles represent the physical structures you’ll be placing on the game board. They add a visual element to the game and make it even more immersive.

To kickstart the game, you’ll also receive 7 start tiles. These tiles will determine your initial starting positions and give you a head start. They provide a solid foundation for your empire, so make the most of them!

In addition to that, we’ve included 4 extra turn tokens. These tokens give you the opportunity to take an extra turn during the game. Use them wisely to gain an advantage over your opponents!

And if that’s not enough, we’ve included 4 joker tokens. These tokens act as wildcards and can be used in various situations. They give you the flexibility you need to adapt to changing circumstances and come out on top!

Last but not least, we’ve added 21 coal tiles and 21 gold tiles. These special tiles represent valuable resources that you can acquire in the game. They’re essential for powering your empire and generating wealth.

Now that you know what’s inside the box, let’s move on to the setup. It’s pretty straightforward, so you’ll be up and running in no time!

To begin, place the game board in the middle of the table. This will serve as the central hub for all the action. It’s where the game comes to life!

Next, take the building tiles and sort them by type. Make sure they’re face up and arrange them into 7 stacks next to the board. This will make it easy for you to access the different types of buildings throughout the game.

Now it’s time to shuffle the landscape cards. Deal 3 cards to each player as their starting hand. The remaining cards should be placed face down next to the board. These cards will be your supply throughout the game.

Next, shuffle the building cards and deal 1 card to each player to add to their starting hand. Just like the landscape cards, the remaining building cards should be placed face down next to the board as a supply.

Lastly, shuffle the coal tiles face down and place them next to the board. These tiles represent a valuable resource that you’ll need to collect during the game. They’ll come in handy when you’re building your empire.

And that’s it! You’re all set up and ready to embark on your journey to conquer the game. Have fun, and may the best player win!

Alright, let’s get this game started! First, we need to set up the board. Take all the shiny gold tiles and mix them up. Then, place them face down next to the board.

Now it’s time to choose your color. Each player gets 15 farmers in their chosen color. Pick a color you like and take those 15 farmers. Place one of your farmers on space 0 of the scoring track. This will keep track of your points throughout the game. Now, place the other 14 farmers in front of you in your play area.

When you’re playing the game, here’s what you need to do:

  1. Each player takes an extra turn token and a joker token and puts them in front of them, with the active side facing up.
  2. Take the 7 start tiles and mix them up. Place them face down.
  3. Each player draws one tile and puts it face up in front of them.

The Start of the Game

First, choose a player to start. They will go first and can place their start tile on any space on the game board that matches the background color of the tile.

After the first player goes, the rest of the players will take turns clockwise. Each player can place their start tile on any empty space on the board with a matching background color. This continues in clockwise order after the first round.

How to Play

When it’s your turn, follow these steps:

When it’s your turn to play, you have a few actions you can take. First, you play two cards from your hand. Then, you can choose to either place one of your farmers or a building on an empty space on the game board. After that, there is usually an opportunity to score points. If you have an active extra turn token, you can use it to play cards and score a second time this turn. Finally, you need to draw cards to make sure you have four in your hand.

Now, let’s take a closer look at each of these actions:

    1. Play Cards:

On your turn, you must play two cards from your hand. This is an important part of the game and gives you options for your next moves.

After you’ve played your cards, you can then choose to either place one of your farmers on an empty space on the game board or take a building tile from one of the seven building tile stacks and place it on an empty space with the right background color on the game board. This allows you to expand and strategize your gameplay.

    2. Score:

After you’ve played your cards and made your move on the game board, there is usually a scoring opportunity. This is where you can gain points based on your actions and the placement of your farmers and buildings. It’s an exciting moment that can greatly impact your overall score.

    3. Use Extra Turn:

If you have an extra turn token that is active, you can use it to take an extra turn this round. This means you can play cards and score a second time, giving you even more chances to increase your score and further your game strategy.

    4. Draw Cards:

Finally, at the end of your turn, you need to draw cards to replenish your hand. You want to make sure you always have four cards in your hand to have a variety of options for your next turn. Drawing cards allows you to maintain your resources and keep the game flowing smoothly.

Remember, each action you take on your turn is important and contributes to your overall gameplay strategy. By understanding and utilizing these actions effectively, you can maximize your chances of success in the game. So, get ready to play, strategize, and have fun!

Put Your Farmer on the Board

When you play two landscape cards, you need to place one of your farmers. The symbols on the cards match the symbols along the top and left sides of the game board.

So here’s what happens: when I play the 2 cards, they represent a row and a column on the game board. I get to decide which card represents the column and which represents the row. The place where the row and column intersect is where I can put my farmer.

Now, each of these intersecting areas has 6 spaces. And guess what? I can put my farmer in any empty space out of those 6. But hold on, there are some rules. If a space already has a farmer, whether it’s mine or someone else’s, or if there’s a building on it, I can’t put my farmer there. Bummer, right?

But don’t worry. I can still find a spot for my farmer. I just have to make sure it’s an empty space in the area that I chose, but water spaces are a big no-no. Nobody wants a farmer swimming, after all!

After I’ve placed my farmer, I’ll take those landscape cards I used and put them face up in a pile with the rest of the discards. They’ll wait there until I need them again.

So, here’s the deal: I’m the red player, and I’ve got two cards in my hand. Time to make some moves!

First things first, I need to place one of my farmers on one of those eleven spaces outlined in red. But hold on a sec, there are some rules. I can’t put my farmer on a space that’s already taken by a building, another farmer, or even water. Gotta find an empty spot.

    Now, Let’s Build

Okay, so here’s the deal with this next move. If I want to play a landscape card and a building card together, I gotta place a building tile on the game board. But where do I put it? Well, it all depends on the landscape card I played.

See, the landscape card tells me which row or column I need to focus on, and the picture on that row or column has to match the one on the card. Once I find a match, I can place my building tile on any empty space in that row or column. Oh, and the building card I played tells me what kind of building I’m adding to the board.

When I play this game, I get to grab a building tile and put it in a spot with the right color in the row or column I want. Then, I have to show everyone the used landscape card and the building card I played and put them in special piles.

But, there are some things I have to remember when I play:

    • I can only pick a building that nobody has used yet.
    • I always have to put my building tile in an empty spot with the right color.
    • If I want to put a harbor, it has to be next to a water space. It can be diagonal or straight.

So, here’s what I did. I played these two cards:

    #image.jpg#image.jpg

Okay, here’s what you need to do. You, as the red player, have to put a gold mine on one of the mountain spaces in either the campfire row or column. Look for the spaces outlined in red – those are the ones you can pick from.

Now, let’s talk about the joker token. If your joker token is active (that means the active side is facing up), you can use it instead of playing one landscape card. It doesn’t matter if you want to place a farmer or a building – the joker can replace any landscape card. To do this, play one landscape card like you normally would for a farmer or a building, but use the joker to represent the landscape card you want. Once you use the joker, flip it over to its inactive side.

    2. Score

Your score depends on whether you placed a farmer or a building:

    Farmer Scoring

When I place a farmer, I earn points, coal tiles, or gold tiles for all the buildings next to the farmer. That means it counts the ones that are directly next to it, like on the sides, as well as the ones that are diagonal. So it’s like a little bonus for me. Plus, if I have any joker or extra turn tokens, I can use them too. It’s pretty cool, right?

Let me break it down for you: Being “adjacent” means the spaces that touch the space where the farmer is located. These spaces can be horizontal, vertical, or diagonal.

When you place the farmer next to a building, you earn points based on the type of building:

    • Post office: You earn 3 points.
    • Harbor: You earn 4 points.
    • Church: You earn 1 point for each farmer next to the Church (either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally). You can earn a maximum of 8 points and a minimum of 1 point.
    • Coal mine: You earn 1 coal tile.
    • Gold mine: You earn 1 gold tile.
    • Warehouse: You earn 1 point and can use your joker token.
    • Train station: You earn 1 point and can take an extra turn.

When I start playing, the first thing I do is record any points I earn by moving my scoring marker on the scoring track. After that, I take the Gold tiles and Coal tiles that I’ve earned and look at them secretly. Then, I place them face down in my play area.

At the end of the game, I’ll count up the points I’ve earned from the gold and coal tiles. If I have an Extra turn token or Joker token, I can activate it. If it’s inactive, I’ll turn it to its active side. If it’s already active, I’ll leave it that way.

I’m going to tell you a story about a game called Oregon and how it’s played. The game includes different tiles and a scoring system to keep track of points. Let me explain how it works using two examples.

In one scenario, there is a red player who places a farmer next to a Gold mine, Post office, and a Church. This move earns them 3 points for the Post office and a Gold tile from the Gold mine. But there’s more! Since there are already 3 farmers, including the one just placed, next to the Church, the player earns 3 additional points for the Church. So all together, the player earns a total of 6 points and gets 1 Gold tile.

In another scenario, the red player decides to place a farmer next to a Harbor, a Train station, and a Warehouse. At the moment, the player has an Extra turn token but their Joker is inactive. As the game progresses, they will have the opportunity to use these tokens strategically.

So you see, in the game of Oregon, players have to think carefully about where to place their farmers to maximize their points. It’s all about making the right moves and using special tokens to your advantage. Can you become the ultimate Oregon champion? It’s time to find out!

When I play the game, I earn points based on the buildings I have in my city. For example, I get 4 points for having the Harbor, and 1 point each for the Warehouse and the Train station. If I have a Joker token, I can use it at the Warehouse to get an extra point.

If I already have an Extra turn token, the Train station doesn’t give me any additional points. It just stays the same. Overall, I get 6 points and activate my Joker token.

    Earning Points as a Group

Another way to earn points is by creating groups of farmers. If I create a group of 3 or more farmers that are connected horizontally or vertically (not diagonally), I get 5 points. But if I add more farmers to a group that I already scored, I don’t get any extra points. And if I place a farmer that connects multiple groups, but one or more of those groups have already scored, I don’t get any extra points either.

I’ll start by placing the farmer on the board. The yellow player gets 5 points right away because she created a group of 3 farmers.

Hey there! Let’s talk about something really interesting – placing yellow farmers in the game.

So, I’m going to place this cool-looking farmer right here.

Now, check this out: there are two groups of size 2, and unfortunately, we can’t score them. But don’t worry, because for the group of 5 farmers (which is 3 or more), you actually score 5 points! How cool is that?

Hey there! Let’s talk about the yellow player and what she does in the game.

First, the yellow player places the farmer shown on the game board. But here’s the catch – she doesn’t earn any points for this farmer because she already scored 5 points for a different group on a size 3 square. So, no extra points for her this time.

Scoring when Building – All Players Can Score

Now, let’s move on to building scoring. When a player places a building on the game board, all players who have farmers next to that building can earn points, coal tiles, or gold tiles. It all depends on the type of building that was placed. And guess what? They can even activate extra turn tokens or joker tokens!

    • Post office: If a building called the post office is placed, each player earns 3 points for each of their farmers next to it.
    • Harbor: On the other hand, if a building called the harbor is placed, each player earns 4 points for each of their farmers next to it.

I’m going to tell you about the different buildings in the game. They all have different effects when you have your farmers next to them. Let’s start with the church. If you have farmers next to the church, you’ll get points. You can get up to 8 points, but you’ll always get at least 1 point.

Next is the coal mine. If you have your farmers next to the coal mine, you’ll get coal tiles.

Then we have the gold mine. If your farmers are next to the gold mine, you’ll get gold tiles.

The warehouse is another building. If your farmers are next to the warehouse, you’ll get points and you can use your joker token.

Lastly, we have the train station. If your farmers are next to the train station, you’ll get points and you can use your extra turn token.

Remember, these buildings can help you get points and resources in the game. Good luck!

I’m a blue player. I put the church in the highlighted spot. The red and green players each get four points for their farmers next to the church.

I, as the blue player, get eight points. I earn four points for each of my farmers next to the church.

Here’s a picture of what happened:

    #image.jpg
    #image.jpg

Now, I’m going to put the train station. It’s blue’s turn.

My extra turn token is no longer active. I earned one point and I can now make it active again.

The green player’s extra turn token is also no longer active. They earned two points and can activate their extra turn token if they have two farmers next to the train station.

That’s it for this step. Now, let’s move on to step 3: Using the Extra Turn.

If you have an extra turn token that is face up in front of you, you can now take your extra turn. Just flip the token over to the other side and play two cards.

After you play a farmer or a building based on the cards you played, you get points from coal tiles, gold tiles, and you might activate extra turn or joker tokens for yourself or your opponents.

Then, move on to step 4: Draw cards. Remember, you can’t use two extra turns in one turn.

    4. Draw Cards

At the end of your turn, you need to have 4 cards in your hand. Here’s how you do it:

    • You can choose to draw from either the landscape or building card decks.
    • However, when I’m playing, I always make sure to draw at least 1 building card and at least 1 landscape card.

If I happen to draw a building card that I don’t need, or if I have a building card in my hand that has no more usable building tiles, I can simply discard it and draw a new one.

If either of the supply stacks runs out of cards, I’ll just shuffle the discards from that stack and use them as the new supply stack.

Once I have 4 cards in my hand again, my turn is over and it’s the next player’s turn.

    The Game Ends

The game will come to an end when one of the following things happens:

    • I place my last farmer on the board.
    • Depending on how many people are playing:
      • If there are 2 players, the game ends as soon as any 2 types of building tiles have been used up.

When it comes to playing the game, there are a few important rules to keep in mind. First, let me explain how the game ends. The game will end in one of two ways: either when three types of building tiles are exhausted in a game with three players, or when four types of building tiles are exhausted in a game with four players. It’s important to note that the round is played until each player has had the same number of turns, so the player to the right of the starting player always gets the last turn.

Now, let’s talk about scoring. At the end of the round, all players reveal their coal and gold tiles. They add up the values of their tiles and move their scoring marker accordingly on the scoring track. The player with the most points is declared the winner! However, if there is a tie for the highest score, the player with the most farmers on the board will be crowned the winner. And if there is still a tie for most farmers, then those players will all share in the victory!
