Order’s Up! is all about being quick on your feet. The objective is to fulfill as many food orders as possible in a limited amount of time. Are you ready? Let’s dive into the details.

To play Order’s Up!, you’ll need a deck of food cards. Each card represents a different type of food, like pizza, burgers, or tacos. Your task is to match the customer’s order by selecting the correct cards from your deck.

Here’s how it works. First, shuffle the deck and place it face down. Then, flip over the top card to reveal the customer’s order. You’ll see a combination of food items on the card. It’s your job to find those same items in your deck.

To fulfill the order, simply select the corresponding cards from your deck, one by one. Place them face up next to the customer’s order card. Keep doing this until all the required food items have been matched.

But, there’s a catch. You must complete the order before the timer runs out. Each order comes with a time limit, indicated by a sand timer. You’ll need to work quickly and efficiently to serve the customer in time.

Once you’ve matched all the food items and the timer hasn’t run out, congratulations! You’ve successfully fulfilled the order. Collect the matched cards and set them aside. Then, flip over a new order card to begin the next challenge.

However, if you fail to match all the food items within the time limit, the order is considered incomplete. The customer will be unhappy, and you won’t earn any points. Don’t worry, though. You can always try again and improve your skills.

Hey there, let’s get ready to play a fun game! The goal is to be the first one to finish all your guest checks. How? Well, it’s simple! Just follow the instructions on the dice, and grab the dishes from the center of the playing area that match your orders.

Getting Started

1. First, I’m going to put the call bell and the diner die right in the middle of the playing area.
2. Next, I’m going to shuffle the guest checks and give two to each player if we have two or three players. If we have four to six players, I’ll give one guest check to each player. I’ll keep my guest checks face up in front of me and put the rest aside.
3. After that, I’ll shuffle the food tiles and place four of them face up around the bell. This will be our Serving Area. I’ll take the remaining food tiles and stack them face down into four even piles between us.

How to Play the Game

The person who ate the last slice of pie begins the game. When it’s your turn, you will need to roll the diner die. What you do next will depend on the number you roll:

Ready, Set, Go!

Let’s get started and see who can ring the bell first! Whoever rings it first gets to choose a tile from the Serving Area and place it in the corresponding empty space on their guest check.

If none of the tiles in the Serving Area match any empty spaces on your guest check, don’t worry! Just draw a tile from any of the face-down stacks. If it matches a space on your guest check, add it there. If not, just put it face up in the Serving Area.

Remember, keep your hands ready, but don’t hover over the bell—that’s against the rules!

A Delicious Meal Awaits You!

Imagine this: you walk into a restaurant, and right before your eyes lies a colorful array of tiles, each one representing a delectable dish. Now, the fun begins! You get to choose any tile you like and add it to your own order.

Here’s how it works: Once you’ve picked a tile from the Serving Area, simply find a matching space on your guest check and place it there. But wait! What if you can’t find a matching space? Not to worry! You can draw a tile from the face-down stack and add it to your order, as long as it matches an empty space on your guest check.

Now, let’s say that none of the face-up tiles match an empty space and you draw a tile that doesn’t match either. Don’t fret! Instead, simply add it face up to the wonderful selection of dishes in the Serving Area. Who knows, maybe someone else will find it a perfect fit!

With this mouthwatering process in mind, you can trust that there will always be a delicious meal waiting for you. So go ahead, explore the serving area, choose your favorite tiles, and enjoy the flavors of this exciting dining experience!

Grab a Pair of Tiles

Got a stack? Take any two tiles from it and place them face up in the Serving Area.

Uh-oh! The Chef Made a Mistake!

Oops! It seems like the chef got your order mixed up. Don’t worry, though! I’ve got a solution for you. Just grab one of your unfinished guest checks (with all the tiles) and exchange it with any player’s. Remember, you have to trade a guest check, even if you don’t really want to. But wait! There’s a rule: you can’t swap a completed guest check – those are off-limits!

Time to Take a Break!

Hey there! It’s time for your break. But hold up! If another player rolls Order’s Up!, you won’t be able to ring the bell until it’s your turn again. So, take your turn, and then pass the die to the player on your left.

Unpredictable Tiles

Hey there! Let’s dive into the exciting world of wild tiles in the game. There are four types of wild tiles: Free Entree, Free Refills, Free Dessert, and Special of the Day. The first three wild tiles can only be used as substitutes for the items shown on the tiles.

Now, here’s where things get interesting. The Special of the Day can be used as a substitute for any tile! If you happen to come across an actual matching tile from the Serving Area later on, you can move the wild tiles around on your guest checks. How cool is that?

Let’s restock the serving area

Pay close attention, because this is important. We should always have at least four tiles in the Serving Area at all times. If, at the start of your turn, there are fewer than four tiles, don’t worry! Simply add some tiles from any stack, face-up, to the Serving Area. Easy peasy!

The dreaded “Ring Wrong” moment

Uh-oh! If you accidentally ring the bell, here’s what you need to do: choose one tile from your guest check, and return it, face up, to the Serving Area. It happens to the best of us, so no worries!

The grand finale – End of the Game

When you’ve completed matching all the items on your guest check(s), you can celebrate your victory by exclaiming “Check Please!” and claiming the win.
