One Night Ultimate Super Villains: The Game Rules
Hey there! Welcome to the thrilling world of One Night Ultimate Super Villains. Interested in playing but not sure where to start? I’m here to help guide you through the game rules. Let’s get started, shall we?
Setup
First things first, let’s gather all the players together. One Night Ultimate Super Villains is designed for 3 to 10 players, so make sure you have enough friends to join in the fun. Once everyone is ready, each player should select a role card.
Role cards: The game comes with a variety of role cards, each with its own special abilities. You can be a Super Villain, a Dynamic Duo, or even a Renegade Reporter!
Shuffle all the role cards and deal one face-down to each player. Be careful not to reveal your role to anyone else! Keep it a secret – that’s part of the fun.
Next, place the remaining role cards in the center of the table, making sure they are face-down. These cards are known as the “role pool.”
Objective
The objective of One Night Ultimate Super Villains is simple: Unmask the Super Villains or let them escape, depending on your role. The Super Villains win if at least one of them remains unknown, while the Heroes win if they can identify and eliminate all the Super Villains.
Night Phase
The game is divided into two phases: Night and Day. Let’s start with the Night phase.
1. Wake-Up Call:
The game begins with the Wake-Up Call. Each role card has a specific instruction for the Wake-Up Call. Some roles wake up alone, while others wake up with a partner. Follow the instructions on your role card and carry out any actions specified.
2. Twists and Turns:
During the Night phase, players may use their special abilities to gain information or manipulate the game. This can include swapping role cards, peeking at other players’ cards, or even redirecting actions.
3. Lights Out:
After all the necessary actions have taken place, the Night phase ends with the Lights Out phase. Everyone closes their eyes, and it’s time to move to the Day phase.
Day Phase
1. Rise and Shine:
The Day phase begins with everyone opening their eyes. Now it’s time for all players to discuss, debate, and deduce who they think the Super Villains are.
2. Accusations:
Once everyone has had a chance to share their thoughts, players can accuse one another. Accusations can be made anonymously or openly, depending on the strategy you choose.
3. Vote:
After the discussion, it’s time to vote. Each player, including the Super Villains, chooses one player they suspect of being a Super Villain. The player with the most votes will have their role card revealed.
4. Resolution:
Once the player’s role card is revealed, their ability is activated. This can have drastic consequences, revealing new information or shifting the balance of power.
Ending the Game
The game continues with alternating Night and Day phases until a specific condition is met. This condition is determined by the roles in play, and can range from unmasking all the Super Villains to allowing them to escape.
Remember: The game is all about deception, deduction, and strategy. Trust no one, but don’t forget to use your own cunning to deceive others as well. Good luck, and may the best Super Villain win!

Let’s Begin
To start the game, we need to prepare the role cards. Each player will receive one card, and we will add three more to the mix for some extra excitement. It’s up to you how many villains you want to have, but having two is recommended for maximum fun!
Once we have the cards ready, let’s shuffle them. After shuffling, deal one card facedown to each player. Place the remaining three cards facedown in the middle of the table. Players can look at their own card secretly.

Discover the Roles
Now, let’s dive into the exciting world of One Night Ultimate Super Villains and explore all the different roles you can encounter in the game.
Hey there! I’ve got some exciting roles to tell you about. If you’re interested in becoming a villain, you’re in the right place! Let’s dive in and explore the thrilling options available.
Mirror Man
This role is all about deception and trickery. As Mirror Man, I have the power to reflect and mimic the abilities of others. It’s a mind-boggling superpower that always keeps the heroes guessing.
Being a villain like Mirror Man means I get to play with light and mirrors, creating illusions that can confuse and disorient my foes. One moment, I’m a powerful force, and the next, I disappear into thin air. No one ever knows what to expect when I’m around!
Imagine how much fun it would be to step into the shoes of Mirror Man. With my ability to mirror the heroes, I can turn their powers against them and sow chaos in their ranks. It’s a thrilling, cat-and-mouse game that keeps everyone on their toes.
If you’re someone who loves a challenge and enjoys keeping others guessing, then Mirror Man is the perfect role for you. Just remember, with great power comes great responsibility, and as a villain, I must always be ready for the heroes’ counterattacks.
So, are you ready to test your mettle and embrace the dark side as Mirror Man?
When I wake up as Mirror Man, I have to choose one of the center cards to look at. Once I do, I become the role of that card. If the role I become is called, then I have to perform that role’s action.
If someone else takes the Mirror Man card from me, the role I originally viewed goes with it. This means that the new Mirror Man will have the same role that I saw.
At the end of the game, if I have the Mirror Man card, I might need to ask the original player which role they have now.
Oh, and by the way, Mirror Man is on the same team as the card he looks at.
Now, let’s move on to another role – the Temptress.
When you play the game with Temptress, there’s a special rule you need to follow. After dealing the three center cards, you’ll need to place one more villain card facedown next to them. It’s usually Henchman #7, but you can choose any other villain if you want.
Temptress is a villain, just like the others. But she has a special ability. While she’s awake, she must give the extra villain card to a player who is not a villain. In exchange, that player will give their card back to the center.
Temptress is part of the villain team, so be careful when dealing with her!
The Curious Case of Dr. Peeker
Hey there! I’m Dr. Peeker, and guess what? I’m a villain! But hold on, let me tell you a secret… I have a unique power. When I wake up, I can sneak a peek at another player’s identity. Cool, right?
Yup, you heard it right. I’m part of the villain team, and my special ability lets me get a glimpse of someone else’s sea id – pretty handy when you’re up to no good!
So, here’s the deal. When I wake up along with the other sneaky villains, I get to choose one player and find out their true identity. It’s like unraveling a mystery while being part of the mystery, all at the same time.
You see, being a villain may be seen as a bad thing, but for me, it’s like being a detective. I get to investigate and gather valuable information. It’s a risky business, for sure, but hey, we all have our roles to play in this intriguing game.
Now, remember, when you’re playing with me, keep an eye out for my secret ability. You never know when I might uncover a hidden truth and flip the game on its head!
The Mischievous Rapscallion
I wake up with the rest of the villains. When I’m awake, I get the chance to peek at one of the cards in the middle.
I am part of the villain team.
Check your villainous levels
Here’s a nifty tool to gauge your wickedness – the Evilometer! It’s like a superhero gadget, only for villains. The Evilometer is always alert and ready to measure just how evil you are.
I’m on the hero team, but I still find the Evilometer fascinating.
The Eccentric Inventor
At night, the Mad Scientist keeps his eyes closed. He has a plan that makes him want to get caught at the end of the game in order to win.
If he gets caught and no villains get caught, the Mad Scientist wins, and the villains don’t win.
If the Mad Scientist gets caught and a villain gets caught too, he wins and the heroes don’t win.
The Mad Scientist is on the mad team, not the villain or hero team.
Intern
When I wake up, I see the Mad Scientist, and he gives me a thumbs-up to let me know it’s him.
I can win if I catch the Mad Scientist (and he wins too).
If there’s no Mad Scientist, I am the one responsible for the crazy experiments. And just like the Mad Scientist, I can win the game by completing my experiments.
I’m part of the team of mad scientists.
Annoying Dude
I wake up and immediately start annoying the heck out of either the person to my left or the person to my right by tapping their shoulder over and over again. It’s enough to drive anyone crazy!
Oh, by the way, I’m on the hero team.
Meet the Detector
Hey there! I’m the Detector, and I play an important role in our game. When I wake up, I have the power to peek at either one player’s card or two of the center cards.
And guess what? I’m on the hero team! That means I’m fighting for the good guys.
The Role Retriever
As soon as I wake up, I have the power to exchange my card with another player’s card. It’s like a little secret switcheroo that only I know about!
When I choose someone to switch with, that person gets a new card. But here’s the twist – they can’t use the power of their new card. Nope, they have to stick with the actions of their original card for the night.
However, there’s a catch. The person I switched with now becomes the new role that they received. So, they’ll have to embrace their new identity, whether they like it or not!
Oh, and by the way, I’m on the hero team. If I switch my card with someone else, I become part of their team instead.
Voodoo Lou
When I wake up as Voodoo Lou, I have an interesting ability – I can choose to look at one of the center cards. If I do, I have the power to switch that card with any other player’s card, even my own.
I place the player’s card in the same spot as the center card I looked at, but here’s the catch – I can’t actually look at the card I put there.
However, if I decide to switch my own card, there’s a twist. If my new role is called later that night, I don’t get to perform its special action.
Here’s the trick – since the other players don’t know their cards have been switched, they still perform the action of the card they started the night with. The only difference is that they now have a new role.
Oh, and by the way, I’m on the hero team. If I switch my card to the center, I become part of the team associated with the new card.
Switcheroo
When I wake up, I have the ability to switch the role cards of two other players without even looking at them. This means that I can completely swap the roles of two people on the team.
Here’s the twist – the players who receive the new role cards don’t even know that they’ve been switched. So, they continue to take actions based on the role they originally started the night with.
However, despite not being aware of the switch, they are now part of a new role altogether.
And guess what? I am on the hero team, so my power can be quite influential!
I wake up and immediately check my card to see if anything has changed. It’s become a morning ritual for me. You see, I’m Self-Awareness Girl, a member of the hero team. It’s a responsibility I take seriously. As I go about my day, I can’t help but notice the power of self-awareness. It’s like a secret weapon that gives me an edge in understanding myself and the world around me. And let me tell you, it’s a game-changer.
Self-awareness is all about knowing who you are, what you want, and why you act the way you do. It’s like having a superpower that helps you navigate life’s challenges with ease. By taking the time to understand yourself, you can make better decisions, build healthier relationships, and achieve your goals.
But self-awareness is not just about introspection. It’s about being present in the moment and paying attention to your thoughts, feelings, and actions. It’s about being curious and open to new experiences. It’s about embracing your strengths and accepting your weaknesses. It’s about taking responsibility for your choices and owning up to your mistakes.
Being self-aware is like having a compass that guides you in the right direction. It helps you stay true to yourself and make choices that align with your values. It allows you to let go of the need for external validation and instead focus on your own growth and well-being.
So, if you’re looking to level up in life, I encourage you to tap into your inner Self-Awareness Superhero. Take the time to reflect on who you are, what you want, and why you do the things you do. Pay attention to your thoughts, feelings, and actions. Embrace your strengths and accept your weaknesses. And most importantly, be kind to yourself along the way.
Remember, self-awareness is not just a skill, it’s a superpower. And with it, you can conquer any challenge that comes your way. So, go out there and embrace your inner Self-Awareness Hero. The world is waiting for you.
When I wake up, I have the ability to flip any card belonging to another player and show it face up. However, if the card is not a part of the hero team, I must flip it back and make it face down again.
This rule applies to everyone, even the Innocent Bystander. Although they are not officially a member of the hero team, they still win if the hero team is successful.
Just so you know, I am proudly affiliated with the hero team.
The Innocent Bystander
I’m just an Innocent Bystander. I don’t have any special powers or abilities. I’m not a hero, but I still play on the hero team. It may seem strange, but that’s the way it is.
Sometimes, people might think of themselves like me and say, “I’m just an Innocent Bystander.” It’s like being caught up in something bigger than yourself, even though you’re not directly involved.
Being an Innocent Bystander means I don’t have a team. I’m sort of on my own. But here’s the twist – I can still win if the hero team wins. It’s like going along for the ride and sharing in their victory.
