Welcome to the world of the Notre Dame Game! It’s an exciting and strategic game that tests your skills and decision-making abilities. Let’s dive right in and explore the rules of this game.
Game Setup
The game begins with each player receiving a deck of cards and a player board. The player board represents your personal Notre Dame district, where you’ll be strategically placing your cards to score points. The central game board is also set up, featuring various action spaces and a rondel.
Game Rounds
Notre Dame is played over multiple rounds, each consisting of several turns. During each round, players will take turns clockwise around the table, performing various actions.
Actions and Planning
Each player has a personal player board, divided into several sections. These sections allow you to plan your actions for upcoming turns. It’s crucial to allocate your resources wisely and make strategic choices.
The Rondel
The rondel plays a significant role in the game. It features several action spaces, allowing players to take different actions, such as acquiring money, hiring assistants, or gaining influence in specific districts. The rondel adds a layer of complexity and decision-making to the game.
Scoring Points
Throughout the game, players will earn points in various ways. Placing cards strategically in your Notre Dame district can earn you points based on adjacent buildings and special effects. Additionally, players can gain points through specific actions, such as gaining influence in the Notre Dame cathedral.
End of the Game
The game concludes after a set number of rounds. At the end, players calculate their final scores based on various elements, such as cards played, influence gained, and money accumulated. The player with the highest score wins the game and becomes the master of Notre Dame!

- When it comes to understanding the importance of choosing the right keywords, it’s essential to remember that they can be a double-edged sword. On one hand, they can elevate your content and help it reach more people. On the other hand, if you’re not careful, they can regalvanize a response that is not the one you were looking for. Today, I want to talk about the significance of keywords and give you some tips on how to choose them effectively.
One of the key things to keep in mind when selecting keywords is that they should accurately reflect the content and purpose of your website. This means choosing words and phrases that are relevant to your subject matter, and that your target audience is likely to use when conducting a search.
Additionally, it’s crucial to interpret the intent behind the keywords. When someone types a search query, what are they really looking for? Understanding this will help you choose keywords that align with their needs and intentions.
So, how do you go about choosing the right keywords? Here are some steps to follow:
1. Begin by brainstorming a list of potential keywords that are relevant to your website. Think about the topics you cover and the words that people might use to find that information.
2. Use keyword research tools to expand your list and find related keywords. These tools can give you insights into search volume and competition, helping you identify the most valuable keywords for your website.
3. Consider long-tail keywords, which are more specific and often have less competition. These can be a great way to target a particular audience and improve your chances of ranking higher in search results.
4. Analyze the competition for your chosen keywords. Look at the top-ranking websites for those keywords and see what they are doing well. This can give you ideas for how to optimize your own content.
5. Finally, track your keyword performance and make adjustments as needed. SEO is an ongoing process, and it’s important to regularly review and update your keyword strategy to stay ahead of the game.
By following these steps and taking the time to choose your keywords wisely, you can improve your website’s visibility and attract the right audience. So, don’t underestimate the power of keywords – they can make a big difference in the success of your online presence.
Hey there! Have you ever come across a 4-sided die? It’s pretty cool, let me tell you about it.
You know how regular dice have 6 sides? Well, 4-sided dice are a bit different. They have, you guessed it, 4 sides. But what’s interesting is that each side shows a different number. You won’t find any duplicates here.
So, if you roll a 4-sided die, you’ve got a 25% chance of getting any specific number. That’s because there are four different numbers to choose from. It’s like having a mini-version of a regular die, with a twist.
Next time you’re playing a game that requires dice, why not give the 4-sided die a try? It adds an extra element of surprise and excitement. Who knows, maybe you’ll find it to be your new favorite!
There are 5 players in this game, which means the game board has 5 sides.
Now it’s time for each player to choose a game board section. You can pick the section that’s closest to where you’re sitting. Any unused game board sections and Notre Dame tiles should be put back in the box.
Next, let’s sort the prestige point tokens by their value. You should also place them next to the game board along with the gold coins, which will serve as your supplies.
Now it’s time to choose your color and gather your game pieces. In your chosen color, you’ll have:
- A trusted friend, which should be placed in your play area
- A carriage, which goes on your market place in the center of your borough
- 4 influence markers, which should be stacked in your play area as a supply pile
- 10 additional influence markers, which should be placed next to the game board as a general supply
I’m about to share an essential guide with you on how to prepare for a fun and exciting game called “Burglaryville.” Let’s dive in! Here are the materials you’ll need:
– We start by placing 4 messages face up on each edge of the player’s borough marketplace. Make sure they’re shuffled and arranged randomly.
– Next, gather 9 action cards and place them face down in your play area as your supply. Be sure to shuffle them beforehand!
– As each player, you’ll also need to take 3 gold coins from the supply. Keep them in your play area for safekeeping.
– Finally, grab a rat marker and place it on space 0 of the plague track, which is located in the harbor of your borough.
Now that we’re all set up, it’s time to prepare the person cards. Here’s what you need to do:
– Follow the instructions for setting up the person cards as mentioned in the game manual.
That’s it! You’re now ready to embark on your exciting journey through the world of “Burglaryville.” Enjoy the game and may the best burglar win!
- I shuffle the 6 brown person cards, making sure not to peek at the letters on their backs. Then I place them face down next to the game board. Each of these person cards can only be used once in each period.
- I sort the 9 gray person cards according to the letters on their backs – A, B, or C. I shuffle each set of 3 cards and place them as a single face down stack next to the person cards. The three C cards are at the bottom, the three B cards are in the middle, and the three A cards are on top. These person cards can only be used once in the entire game.
Now it’s time to choose a start player. The start player gets the bell-ringer.
Let’s Play
The game consists of three periods: A, B, and C. Each period has three rounds. And each of the nine rounds has five phases, which we play in the following order:
Step 1: Arrange the Person Cards
The first thing you need to do is lay out the person cards. It may seem simple, but it’s an essential step in getting started.
To begin, gather all the person cards you have. Make sure you have a good mix of different people, with varying characteristics and qualities. Spread them out on a large table or a flat surface.
As you arrange the cards, take into account the information and details provided on each card. Look at the individual’s interests, hobbies, and background. This will help you determine how to best position the cards to create an engaging display.
Step 2: Consider Different Layout Options
Now that you have all the person cards laid out, it’s time to think about the layout options. There are a few different ways you can arrange the cards, depending on your goals and the message you want to convey.
One option is to group the cards based on common interests or characteristics. For example, you could create clusters of cards with similar hobbies, such as sports enthusiasts or art lovers. This layout can help people quickly find others who share their interests.
Another option is to arrange the cards in a chronological order, based on the person’s background or life experiences. This can give visitors a sense of the individual’s journey and how they have evolved over time.
You can also mix and match different layouts to create a more dynamic display. For example, you could have a central cluster of cards grouped by interests, with individual cards radiating outwards to show the person’s personal growth.
Step 3: Add Visual Elements
To make the person cards even more visually appealing, consider adding some additional elements. This can help draw attention to the cards and make them stand out.
One option is to use color coding or different backgrounds for each category of cards. For example, you could use a blue background for sports-related cards, and a green background for cards related to nature or the environment.
You can also include pictures or icons that represent each person’s interests or qualities. This can provide a visual cue and make it easier for visitors to quickly identify which cards are of interest to them.
Remember to use clear and legible fonts for any text on the cards. You want visitors to be able to easily read the information and details provided.
Step 4: Arrange Supporting Information
In addition to the person cards, you may also want to provide some supporting information or context. This can help visitors better understand the purpose of the display and how to interact with it.
Consider adding a brief introduction or overview at the beginning of the display, explaining what the person cards represent and why they are important. You can also include instructions on how to navigate the display and find more information about each individual.
If possible, provide additional resources or materials that visitors can take with them. This could include brochures, handouts, or cards with more in-depth information about each person.
Step 5: Review and Finalize the Display
Once you have laid out the person cards and added any additional elements, take a step back and review the display as a whole. Make sure everything is organized, visually appealing, and easy to understand.
Consider asking for feedback from others to get different perspectives. This can help identify any areas that may need improvement or clarification.
Once you are satisfied with the layout and design, finalize the display. Make sure all the cards are securely in place and that any additional materials are easily accessible.
Congratulations! You have now successfully laid out your person card display. This engaging and visually appealing setup will help visitors navigate and interact with the cards, gaining a deeper understanding of each individual and their unique qualities.
When we start a new round, we all pick three person cards to play with. These cards come in two types: brown cards without letters and gray cards with letters. We draw two brown cards and one gray card from their respective stacks. Once we have our three person cards, we place them face up next to the stacks of cards. Easy enough, right?
Now, onto Phase 2: Choose Action Cards.
First, I draw the top three cards from my action card stack. I look at them, choose one to keep, and pass the other two face down to the player on my left.
Once all players have received the passed cards, we look at our two new cards. I add one to my hand and pass the other face down to the player on my left. Then, I add this passed card to my hand.
It’s important not to look at the card(s) I received from the player on my right until after I have passed my cards.
Also, I cannot pass a card that I have already added to my hand. This means I must pass one of the two cards I received from the player on my right. I always keep my cards a secret from the other players.
Now that I have three action cards, I get to choose two of them to use in phase 3. I have one card from my own stack, one card from the player on my right, and one card from the player sitting two places to my right.
Phase 3: Time to Play Action Cards
It’s my turn to play! I pick one action card from my hand and put it face up in front of me. Then, I do whatever action is written on the card. Once I’m done, it’s the next player’s turn, and we keep going clockwise.
After everyone has played and executed their first action, we each get to do it again with a second action card from our hands. It’s another round of actions!
Once we’re all done with our actions, we have to discard the cards we played. We put them face up on a common discard stack.
Note: I want to tell you something important about the game. When we play, we all have three action cards. But here’s the thing: when it’s time to play the third card, we don’t actually do what it says. Instead, we just get rid of it by hiding it under the second card and putting it in the discard pile. Oh, and by the way, we’re not allowed to look at the cards in the discard pile, so it’s a mystery to all of us!
Phase 4: Time to Recruit
Once we’ve all played our two action cards and discarded the three we don’t need, it’s time to recruit. We’ll go in order, starting with the first player, and each have the chance to hire one of the three people on display. These people have special abilities that we can use to our advantage, so choose wisely!
It costs just one gold coin to hire someone, which you’ll give to the supply. Once you’ve paid up, you can then use the special ability of the person you hired. If you don’t have any coins or you don’t want to hire anyone, you can pass. But keep in mind, other players might snatch up the people you’re passing on!
Phase 5: Plague Value Determination
At the end of every round, we need to figure out who cared about the health of people in their neighborhood and who didn’t. We add up the values of plagues and move our rat marker on the plague track accordingly. The number of spaces we move is determined by the plague value, plus or minus any adjustments.
When each round ends, I put my three person cards, which are face up, onto the corresponding stack. Then, I pass the bell-ringer to the person on my left, who becomes the new start player.
A new round begins, and it works just like the previous one. We go through phase 1, then phase 2, and continue on to phases 3, 4, and 5.
After every third round, we take a break. During this break, we:
- calculate the scores of the influence markers in Notre Dame;
- shuffle the six brown person cards and put them face down as a stack;
- sort all action cards by color and return them to their owners. Each player shuffles their cards and puts them face down in their play area.
The Game Ends
Once the ninth round is over, we get to the exciting part – scoring the influence markers in Notre Dame and concluding the game. It’s time to find out who the true champion is! Now listen up, because here’s the deal: the player with the most prestige points takes home the victory.
But what happens if there’s a tie? Well, my friend, the drama doesn’t end there. We go deeper – it’s a showdown. Among the players who tied, the one with the greatest combination of total gold coins and influence markers in their personal stash will emerge as the ultimate winner. Isn’t it suspenseful?
The Exciting 2-Player Game
Setting Up the Game
- I put my rat marker on space 9
- I lose 2 prestige points
- I give back 1 influence marker to the general supply
Let the Game Begin!
Here’s the deal: everything’s the same as the game for 3-5 players, except this one twist: during the second phase, I pass two cards to my opponent and get one in return. That means, I’ll end up with 2 cards of my own color and 1 card from my opponent.
