How to Play the Game

Now, here’s the tricky part. If you land on a space with the Sea Witch, you have to go back to the start. Bummer, I know. But don’t worry, there’s a chance to cross a bridge and make a quick comeback. If you land on a space that leads to a bridge, you can cross it right away to the other side. Just make sure the Sea Witch isn’t waiting for you on the other side – if she is, it’s probably best to avoid that bridge!
Oh, one more thing. If the spinner lands on the Sea Witch, you have to move her forward one space. But no need to panic, she’s a bit slow, so it won’t be too hard to keep her under control.

If the Sea Witch lands on a space with a Mermaid, the Mermaid immediately goes back to Start.
You pick up a Wand when you land on it. Mermaids or the Sea Witch must pick up Wands as they land on them. When a Mermaid picks up a Wand, she sets it aside for all the players to use.
If the Sea Witch picks up a Wand, she keeps it and won’t let the Mermaids use it in the game. The Sea Witch never uses the Wand herself. She just takes it away from the Mermaids.
We decide together when to use a Wand. We can use it at any time. Using a Wand doesn’t count as a turn.
