To begin, you will need a game board, a transparent sheet, markers, level cards, a scoring pad, and a few tokens. The game board represents the Lost City, divided into different regions. Each region is filled with obstacles, treasures, and enemies.

On your transparent sheet, you will draw your response to the level cards. These cards will show you a specific challenge that you must complete. It could be anything from drawing a line to connecting specific points. Use your imagination and creativity to tackle these challenges!

Each player takes turns drawing a level card and placing it in the card holder. The card will determine the challenge for that round. Once the card is placed, the players simultaneously draw their response on their transparent sheets. Remember, speed is essential in Loony Quest!

After everyone has completed their drawings, it’s time for the scoring phase. Overlay your transparent sheet on the game board and compare your drawing to the correct solution. For every correct element, you will earn points. But be careful, any deviations will result in penalty points. So accuracy is crucial!

At the end of each round, add up your points and mark them on the scoring pad. The player with the highest score after several rounds is the winner!

Example: The drawing you see here is considered a single line, even though it’s divided into segments by Secret Passages.

A Secret Passage doesn’t count as being used if:

• The line exiting the Secret Passage doesn’t start inside it.
• The line entering the Secret Passage doesn’t end inside it.

In both cases, the line exiting the Secret Passage and everything drawn after that point is erased before scoring. Only the part of the line that enters or attempts to enter the Secret Passage is not erased.

A Word about Buttons and Lasers

We’ve got some trickier levels ahead, my friend. Levels 9.1 and 10.6 have areas that are teeming with Lasers and Secret Passages. These Passages are your tickets to slip into an area, even if it’s guarded by a barrier and a Laser. But here’s the catch: you absolutely can’t touch either the barrier or the Laser unless they’ve been disabled at the Button.
