Kazink Game Rules

Welcome to Kazink! I’m here to walk you through the game rules and how to play. Get ready for a fun and exciting adventure!

Object of the Game: The goal of Kazink is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards by creating a continuous line of cards with matching symbols or numbers. Setup: To begin, shuffle the deck and deal 5 cards to each player. Place the remaining cards face-down in a draw pile. Gameplay: The player with the longest hair goes first (or you can come up with your own fun way to decide who goes first!). On your turn, draw one card from the draw pile and then either play a card or discard one card face-up. Playing Cards: When you play a card, you must create a continuous line of cards with matching symbols or numbers. You can add your card to either end of the line, but it must connect to a card with a matching symbol or number. If you create a “Kazink”, which is a line of three or more cards, you get to discard them and draw extra cards as a bonus! Discarding Cards: If you choose to discard a card instead of playing one, place it face-up on the discard pile. The next player can choose to draw this card instead of drawing from the draw pile if it helps them create a Kazink. Special Cards: There are two special cards in Kazink: the Wild Card and the Special Action Card. The Wild Card can be played as any symbol or number, allowing you to connect cards that wouldn’t normally match. The Special Action Card allows you to take an extra turn, draw extra cards, or make other special moves. Winning the Game: Continue playing until one player gets rid of all their cards. That player is the winner of Kazink! Now that you know the rules, it’s time to start playing! Have fun and enjoy the excitement of creating Kazinks!

A “CROWN” can be formed in two ways: by stacking three chips of the same color vertically or by playing a “crown” card. Once a crown is formed, you flip the top chip to reveal the white/black printed side.

A “ROW” consists of three consecutive “crowns” arranged horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Rows of the same color can intersect. You can even use one of the spaces from one of your rows as part of another row. If you manage to get five crowns in a row, it counts as two completed rows.

Now, let’s talk about the setup. If there are 2 or 3 players, each player gets all 36 stacking chips of a single color. However, if you have 4 players or 2 teams, each team of 2 players will divide the 36 stacking chips of one color amongst themselves.

Make sure to place the game board in the center of a flat surface. Leave enough room around the game board for the draw deck, stacking chips, and discard pile for each player.

When playing with just 2 teams, we need to make sure that each team member sits next to a member of the opposing team around the game board. First, we choose a dealer. The dealer then shuffles the deck of cards and gives each player 3 cards. Any extra cards are set aside as the draw deck, which will be used later.

Note: In games with 3 or 4 players, there are additional spaces on the game board that are only used in those games. These extra spaces have a heavy black border around them.

How to Play the Game

Let me show you how to play this game. It’s really simple!

To start, I’ll take a card from my hand and put it face up in front of me. Then, I’ll place one of my chips on a space on the game board that matches the suit of the card I just played. Easy, right?

After that, I’ll draw a card from the deck and it will be the next player’s turn. Everyone takes turns doing the same thing.

Here’s a neat thing: I can put my chip on any open space on the board, or stack it on top of another one of my chips. The choice is mine!

Oh, and there’s one more thing. If all the spaces of a suit are already taken, I can stack my chip on top of an opponent’s chip, as long as there isn’t a crown on that space.

So, that’s it! Now you know how to play the game. Have fun!

Hey there! Let me explain how this game works. So, when you stack three of your chips on one space, you gotta flip the top chip over. That reveals the white or black print, which means you’ve completed a crown! Pretty cool, right? Once you’ve got a crown, it’s locked in place. You can’t move it or play on it anymore.

Now, here’s something interesting. Sometimes, all the spaces of a specific suit get covered by crowns. If you happen to be holding a card from that suit, you can toss it aside and grab a new card. You can only swap one card per turn, though. Gotta keep things fair!

If we run out of cards in the draw deck, don’t fret. We just grab all the discarded cards and give ’em a good shuffle. That way, we can start a fresh draw deck and keep the game going.

Now, let’s talk about the really special cards.

We’ve got the Crown Card.

Hey there! Did you know that there are 2 special cards called “Crown” in the deck? When you play one of these Crown cards, you get to put your chip on any space on the game board, except for a space that already has a crown on it. Cool, huh?

And get this, when you put your chip on a space using a Crown card, that space automatically becomes a crown just for you! So, you don’t have to worry about having three chips of the same color anymore.

All you have to do is flip your chip over to the white/black printed side to show that it’s a crown. Easy-peasy!

Oh, and there’s also something called a Wild Card!

Did you know that there are 4 “Wild” cards in the deck?

When you play a Wild card, you can put your chip on any open space or on top of a chip of ANY color that has already been played, as long as it isn’t crowned.

You don’t have to cover all spaces of that suit when you use a Wild card.

Double-up Card

You know, there are these special cards in the deck called “Double-up” cards. Pretty cool, right? These cards give you an extra advantage by letting you make two moves in one turn. Let me explain how they work. First, you can take up to 2 chips from one of your spaces and move them to another space where you already have chips. Neat, huh? But there’s a catch! You can only move the chips that are not covered by your opponent’s chips. So, make sure you pick the right ones. As your second move, you can place a chip on any space that doesn’t have a crown. It’s just like playing a Wild card. Exciting, isn’t it?

Now, let’s talk about ending the game. The goal is to complete a certain number of “crowned” rows. Once a player or team achieves that, they become the winner. But what if no one completes the required number of “crowned” rows? Well, in that case, the player or team with the most crowns wins the game. So, keep your eyes on those crowns and play strategically to come out on top!
