Let’s begin by taking a look at how to get started with iKNOW. First, I’ll need to place my iKNOW token on an empty square on the game board. This will be the starting point for my journey.

Next, I have a choice to make. If I feel confident in my knowledge and think I can answer the question correctly right away, I can place my token on the level marked with three pips. This means I only need one clue to figure out the answer.

On the other hand, if I want to gather more information before making my guess, I can place my token on the squares marked with one or two pips. This will allow me to receive more clues, giving me a better chance at getting the correct answer.

So, the decision is up to me. Do I trust my instinct and go for the three-pip level, or do I take a more cautious approach and opt for one or two pips? It’s all part of the strategy and excitement of playing iKNOW.

iBet

When it’s my turn, I have to use my powers of deduction to make a guess. I look at all the players and try to figure out who might answer the question correctly and who might get it wrong. I place my iBETtoken on an empty circle, showing who I think will come out on top.

Then, it’s time for everyone else to make their guesses. Each player takes their turn, placing their token on an empty circle, just like me. We all think hard and try to predict who will get it right and who won’t.

Clues

When all the iKNOW and iBET tokens are on the game board, I read the three-chip clue.

Now, if you have your iKNOW token on a square with three pips, you answer the question. The player who put their token there first goes first.

After that, I read the two-chip and one-chip clues, and everyone gets a chance to answer. Finally, I reveal the correct answer.

Let’s See Who’s Right

Now it’s time to find out who got the answer right and who didn’t. And let’s not forget about guessing the other players’ results! Starting from the level marked with three pips, I’ll collect all the tokens from the game board and give them back to you as I check the answers and guesses.

• Winners and Losers: If you answered the question correctly, you win the same number of white tokens as the level you were on. If you guessed another player’s success, you get an extra white chip. Don’t worry if you got the answer wrong – you won’t lose any chips for that. But if your guess about another player was wrong, you’ll lose one chip. And remember, I always get two chips at the end of the round.
• Next round: The next round begins with the player who answered the previous question correctly. They get to choose the category for the next round and place the category token on the corresponding color on the game board. Then, the player to their left reads the new question. If nobody answered the previous question correctly, the category token is moved clockwise to the next category on the game board.

End of the Game

The game comes to an end when, at the end of a round, one or more players have accumulated at least 20 points worth of chips.

If multiple players reach 20 points during the same round, the player with the highest score is declared the winner!

You have two ways to bet with your iBET tokens:

• If you’re certain that someone will know the answer, place your iBET token on the (+) side of that player’s iKNOW token.
• If you think another player will get the question wrong, place your iBET token on their (-) side.

But wait, there’s more! If you think you know the right answer and your iKNOW token is on the level marked with three pips, other players can also use your answer. This means they can bet on your knowledge too, giving them a chance to win chips if you’re correct. In this case, you may want to place your iBET token on the (+) side of that player.

Chips: You earn chips by making correct bets and answering questions correctly using your iKNOW token. White chips are worth one point, and black chips are worth five points.

Swapping Chips: As the game progresses, you can exchange five white chips for one black chip.
