Guess Who? Star Wars Game Rules
I’m going to give you a rundown of the rules for a fun game called Guess Who? Star Wars edition. So here’s how it works:
You and another player will each have a game board with a grid of character portraits. These are characters from the Star Wars universe. Your goal is to be the first one to correctly guess which character the other person has chosen.
To do that, you’ll take turns asking each other yes-or-no questions about the characters on the board. For example, you might ask, “Is your character a Jedi?” or “Is your character a droid?” Based on the answers you receive, you’ll have to eliminate characters from your board until you can make an informed guess.
Remember, you can only ask questions that can be answered with a “yes” or a “no.” And you can only eliminate characters from your board when you receive a definite answer.
As you play, be sure to pay attention to the clues you’re getting. Try to deduce which characters are left on the other person’s board based on their answers to your questions. It’s like a game of deduction!
Keep in mind that your questions should be strategic. Aim to eliminate the greatest number of characters with each question. This will help narrow down your options and speed up your progress toward making a correct guess.
Once you think you know which character the other person has chosen, it’s time to make your guess. Say the name of the character out loud to see if you’re right. If you are, you win!
With these simple rules in mind, you and your opponent are ready to have a blast playing Guess Who? Star Wars edition. May the Force be with you!
Once upon a time, in a far-off galaxy, something strange happened. I felt a strange disturbance in the force. It’s now your job to assist a friend or vanquish the dark side.
Trust your instincts, and ask questions to unravel the mystery of who is behind this disruption. Keep probing to reveal the true identity of your companion or foe.
Components
- 2 Gameboard trays
- 24 Mystery Star Wars character cards
- 48 Star Wars facecards and frames
- 2 Score keepers
Object of the Game
Your goal is to figure out which Star Wars character your opponent has chosen before they figure out yours.
Setup
Set Up Your Gameboard
Choose a gameboard and place it on a flat surface. Stand up all the frames by tipping the gameboard away from you, and then flatten it again. Your opponent should do the same.
Draw Your Mystery Card
Let’s get started with playing the Mystery game! Shuffle your Mystery cards, and then pick two cards at random. Look at both cards and decide which one you want to play. Put your chosen card in the Mystery card slot, making sure that the character on the card is facing you.
Take the card you didn’t choose and place it facedown back into the deck. Your opponent should do the same.
Now, it’s time to hide all the unused Mystery cards. Keep them out of play. And remember, make sure your opponent can’t see the character on your card!
How to Play the Game
Who goes first? The youngest player takes the first turn. On your turn, you have two options: you can either ask a question or make a guess about your opponent’s character.
But be careful! Don’t rush into guessing the mystery character. Make sure you’re confident before you take a guess. If you guess incorrectly, you’ll lose the game!
Getting to Know the Star Wars Characters
Take a good look at the 24 characters on your gameboard. Pay attention to the differences between them. This will help you figure out who your opponent’s mystery character might be!
Did you know that Star Wars features a diverse range of characters? From powerful Jedi to individuals who have succumbed to the allure of the dark side, there’s a rich tapestry of personalities to explore in that galaxy far, far away.
Curiosity Takes the Spotlight
- To guess the mystery character, ask your opponent one question per turn. Each question can only be answered with a “yes” or “no”. For example, you can ask, “Is your mystery character a human?” Your opponent must answer either “yes” or “no”.
- After your opponent answers, you can eliminate some mystery characters on the gameboard. For instance, if your opponent says, “Yes, the mystery character is human,” then flip down all the mystery characters that are aliens or droids. This way, only the human characters are left.
- Once you ask a question and eliminate mystery characters if possible, it’s the end of your turn.

Can You Solve the Star Wars Mystery Character?
Ready to put your detective skills to the test? It’s time to take a crack at guessing the mysterious Star Wars character. Remember, instead of asking questions, make your guess when it’s your turn.
To take your shot at solving the mystery, simply say something like, “I think the mystery character is Luke Skywalker.” Your opponent will then reveal whether your guess is correct or not. If you’re right, congratulations! You’re the winner. But if you’re wrong, tough luck! Better luck next time.
The Game Comes to an End
Players will take turns asking questions until one of them decides to make their final guess. If you manage to guess correctly or your opponent makes a wrong guess, victory will be yours!
Try the Ultimate Challenge
For those seeking an even tougher challenge, here’s an idea. Both players can draw two Mystery cards and place them side by side in their Mystery card slots. Now, your mission is to figure out who both of your opponent’s Mystery Characters are. Good luck!
When you’re trying to figure out the Mystery Characters game, it’s important to remember to use the words “both” or “either” when asking questions about the characters. This helps to narrow down the possibilities and make the game more challenging.
For example, you could ask, “Do both of your Star Wars characters have hair all over their bodies?” or “Do either of your Star Wars characters have a cloak on?” These types of questions allow you to gather more information and eliminate characters from the gameboard.
But be careful! It’s easy to forget which questions you’ve already asked and which characters you’ve eliminated. So, make sure to keep track of your questions and the answers you receive.
Here’s an example to illustrate why it’s important to use “both” or “either” in your questions:
Let’s say you ask, “Are either of your mystery characters droids?” Your opponent answers “yes.” Based on this answer, you might mistakenly think that both of the mystery characters are droids and start flipping down droid characters on the gameboard. However, this would be a mistake because only one of the mystery characters is a droid, while the other one is not. So, always remember to consider both possibilities when asking your questions.
To win the game, you need to guess both of the mystery characters correctly on the same turn. It’s a challenge, but with careful questioning and deduction, you can become a master of the Mystery Characters game!
Championship Play
If you want to take your game to the next level, you can play a series of games and keep score. For each game you win, slide the score keeper up one point. The first player to reach five points is the Champion!
