Gameplay:

When the timer starts, it’s time to put on your detective hat and start searching for those eggs! You can look anywhere within the designated play area – under bushes, behind trees, or even up high. Just make sure you stay within the boundaries of the game.

As you find eggs, collect them in your basket or bag. Remember, every egg counts, so don’t leave any behind! Be quick and thorough in your search, as time is ticking away.

Special Eggs:

Some eggs may have special markings or colors. These special eggs are worth more points, so keep an eye out for them. They might be hidden in tricky spots, so don’t overlook any hiding place!

Getting Started

Before we dive into the excitement, let’s set up the game. Grab a pencil and paper so you can keep track of everyone’s scores. Decide on a target score to reach in order to win. Take a look at the suggested scoring table below, and feel free to adjust it to match how long you want to play.

Now, let’s get the deck of cards ready. Shuffle it up and place it face down where everyone can reach it. The youngest player gets the honor of going first.

Note: While playing, make sure no one peeks at the bottom of the deck. It must stay face down at all times to keep the game fair and exciting!

Playing the Game

When it’s your turn, you get to count chickens by flipping cards from the deck one by one. Start by turning over the top card and continue counting out loud. Each chicken card you flip is worth one point.

For example, you might count, “One, two, three, four …” As long as you keep flipping chicken cards, you can choose to stop at any time and keep the points you’ve counted. Just say “Stop!” when you’re ready and write down the number of points you earned during that turn.

Add these points to your total score from previous turns, and then it’s the next player’s turn.

Watch Out for the Wolf

Imagine a deck filled with hungry wolves, each one eager to devour tasty chickens. If a wolf card is flipped, your turn ends instantly and all the points you’ve earned during that turn vanish.

But fear not! The score you’ve already written down remains untouched. The game continues with the player on your left, who takes their turn by flipping cards from the top of the face-down pile.

Once a player reveals the sixth and final wolf card, it’s time to reshuffle all the cards and place the deck face down in the center. Then, the next player can begin their turn.

Remember this golden rule: you can halt the counting and gather your points at any moment, as long as you don’t uncover a wolf!

The Ultimate Goal

The player who reaches the target score first is crowned the victor!

Wing It!

Before we start playing, let’s assign different point values to some of the chicken cards. For example, cards with a chicken on wheels (like a tractor, motorcycle, or skateboard) can be worth 2 points.

Before they Hatch

Before you flip over a card, try to guess which chicken will be on it. If your guess is correct, you’ll double your score. But if you’re wrong, your turn will end.

Two in the Hand

If you flip over two cards with the same kind of chicken in a row, you’ll double the score you’re keeping track of.

Wolf Blitz

Be careful! If you uncover a wolf card, you’ll lose all the points you earned on your previous turn.

A Dozen Eggs

If you manage to flip over at least 12 cards in one turn without revealing a wolf, you’ll get a bonus of 5 points.
