Alright, here’s what you need to do to get started with the game. First, take the 19 chicken run cards and mix them up. Then, lay them out on the table with the face down.
Now, it’s time to shuffle the 45 animal cards. Make sure they’re well-mixed, and then give each player an equal number of cards. If there are 2 or 3 players, each person gets 15 animal cards.
If there are 4 players, each player receives 11 cards. For 5 players, it’s 9 cards each. And if there are 6 players, then everyone gets 7 cards.
If there are any leftover cards, just put them back in the box. Each player should take their cards and place them face down in front of them. Don’t look at them just yet! Finally, each player should grab the top five cards from their stack.

When I uncover any chicken run cards, I’ll keep them face up until the end of my turn. At that point, I’ll turn them face down again and replenish my hand with enough cards from my deck to have 5 cards, if I can.
