Bandits Game Rules
Hey there! I’m here to explain the rules of the awesome Bandits Game. It’s super exciting, and I can’t wait to share it with you. So, let’s dive in!
The Basics
When you play Bandits Game, you’ll need a deck of playing cards with the jokers removed. This is a game for two or more players, and the goal is to collect the most cards by the end of the game.
Here’s how it works:
- Shuffle the deck and deal all the cards evenly among the players.
- Each player keeps their cards face-down in a stack in front of them.
- One player starts as the dealer and flips over the top card from their stack.
- The next player in turn must play a card of the same suit or value. If they don’t have a matching card, they can play any other card.
- If a player can’t play a card, they must pick up the discard pile and add it to their stack.
- The game continues clockwise, with each player trying to play a card that matches the top card of the discard pile.
- If a player plays a seven, the direction of play reverses.
- If a player plays an eight, the next player must skip their turn.
- If a player plays a two, the next player must pick up two cards from the deck.
- If a player plays a king, the next player must pick up five cards from the deck.
- The game ends when one player runs out of cards.
- The player with the most cards at the end wins the game. If there’s a tie, the player with the highest value card wins.
Variations
Bandits Game is a flexible game, and you can add your own twists to make it even more fun. Here are a few variations you can try:
- Bandits Showdown: In this variation, players can challenge each other to a showdown when they play the same value card. The loser must pick up all the cards from the showdown.
- Speed Bandits: In this faster-paced version, players must play a card within a certain time limit. If they don’t, they must pick up a card from the deck.
- Bandits War: In this variation, players can play multiple cards at once to try and beat the previous play. For example, if a player plays two eights, the next player must play two cards that are higher than an eight.
So, there you have it – the rules of the amazing Bandits Game. Are you ready to gather your friends and start playing? I’m sure you’ll have a blast!
- Do you love collecting cards? Here’s what you’ll find inside the deck:
- 47 Loot Cards
- 38 Outlaws and Lawmen
- 10 Two-Faced Cards
- 5 Special Action Cards
- 6 Hideouts
- 1 Turn Card
What’s the Goal?
The goal is simple: collect the most Gold Bars or Money Bags from your opponents while keeping your stash safe. Each round presents a new opportunity to gather more loot.
How to Set Up
First, let’s get the game ready:
- Separate the Hideout Cards, Turn Card, and Quick Reference Card from the rest of the deck.
- Everyone chooses their favorite Hideout to stash their Loot under.
- Shuffle the remaining cards, and deal 6 to each player.
Place the remaining cards in the center to create the Draw Pile. The youngest player goes first.
How to Play
On your turn, you have 3 options. Select just 1 option:
- Take 1 card from the Draw Pile and add it to your hand.
- Use Outlaw/Two-Faced Cards to attack an opponent’s hand.
- Hide 3 or more cards of the same type (Gold Bars or Money Bags) under your Hideout. Make sure to include only Gold Bars, Money Bags, and the Booby Trap Card under the Hideouts.

Hey there! If you’re about to play this game, I’ve got some important tips for you. The rules are quite simple, but it’s always good to have a quick refresher. So, let’s dive in!
First things first, when it’s your turn, grab a card from the Draw Pile. That card will join your hand and give you some fresh options to strategize with. It’s like expanding your possibilities!
Next, you’ve got the Outlaw/Two-Faced Cards. These cards are super cool because they allow you to attack your opponents. Yeah, you read that right! You can mess with their plans and make their hands less powerful. It’s a real power move!
Now, let’s talk about the Hideout. You can stash away some of your loot under there. But here’s the trick: you can only put Gold Bars, Money Bags, and the Booby Trap Card under your Hideout. Got it? It’s like your secret treasure vault!
And that’s it! You’re now ready to rock this game like a pro. Have fun, strategize wisely, and may the best player win! Remember, it’s all about making bold moves and outsmarting your opponents. Good luck!

When you’re playing a game, it’s essential to pass the turn card to the next player once you’re done with your turn. This way, everyone will know that it’s their turn to play.
Getting New Cards
Hey there! Let me break down the important rules for you.
First things first, everyone needs to have a minimum of 6 cards in their hands all the time. But don’t worry, if you end up with less than 6 cards after attacking, defending, or stashing your Loot, you can always draw more cards from the Draw Pile until you have a full hand again.
Now, let’s talk about attacking. This is where the real fun begins! Your goal here is to steal cards from another player and, if you’re lucky, some of their precious Loot too. To launch an attack, simply play Outlaw or Two-Faced Cards from your hand onto the table. Make sure to let everyone know which player you’re targeting.
Now that you know the basics, it’s time to dive deeper into the game and start strategizing. Good luck, and may the best bandit win!
Attacking
Try to steal another player’s hand and hopefully some Loot! To attack, play any number of Outlaw or Two-Faced Cards from your hand onto the table and announce which 1 player you will attack.
When you attack with more guns, your attack becomes stronger. For example, if you attack with 3 guns and 2 stars, you have a total of 5 guns. The defending player needs to match or exceed the number of guns you have with an equal or greater value of stars on their Lawmen/Two-Faced Cards in order to win the shootout.
If the defending player cannot do this, they lose the shootout. In this case, they have to give up any remaining cards they have in their hand to you. All the cards that were played during the fight are discarded to the Boneyard (which you can learn more about in The Boneyard section). Afterwards, players who have fewer than 6 cards left replenish their hands.
Defending with Guns
When you’re under attack, your best defense is to use Lawmen (#image.jpg) or Two-Faced Cards ( #image.jpgor #image.jpg). You can play as many of these cards as you want. Just make sure that the total number of stars (#image.jpg) on your cards is equal to or more than the total number of guns played by the attacker. If you achieve this, you’ve successfully defended the attack and none of your cards are lost. Afterward, remember to discard and replenish your cards as explained earlier.
Here’s a tip: Even if you can’t fully defend yourself, it’s still better to go out in a blaze of glory and play any Lawmen Cards you have. Otherwise, your opponent will get all your Lawmen.
Let’s Talk About the Boneyard
Welcome to the discard pile! This is where we throw the cards that we’ve already used for attacking or defending. Once a card is in the discard pile, it can’t be picked up again.
Scoring Time!
The round ends as soon as the last card is drawn from the draw pile. Keep the cards in your hand for the next round and start tallying up your score.
Take note of the value of all the Gold Bars and Money Bags in your Hideout. Only the loot in your Hideout counts towards your score, not the loot in your hand.
Let’s Begin a New Round
For the next round, we need to shuffle all the cards in the boneyard and in everyone’s Hideouts together. This will be the new draw pile.
If you have fewer than 6 cards, make sure to replenish your hand. Then, we can start the new round with the player who had the last turn in the previous round.
The End of the Game
When a round comes to a close, just take a quick look below to see if someone has gathered enough Loot to emerge victorious.
Most games of BANDITS usually have about 1 to 4 rounds. If more than one player manages to gather enough Loot to win, the player with the highest amount of Loot takes the crown.
If there happens to be a tie, don’t worry. All the players will get another chance to prove themselves – because this town can’t handle two winners!
