Aztack Game Rules
Hey there! I want to talk to you about the Aztack game. Are you ready? Let’s dive in!
In this game, you’ll find yourself stacking up ancient Aztec tiles to create the most magnificent structures. It’s like building a puzzle with a twist!
Here’s how it works – you start with a pile of tiles. These tiles have different patterns and colors on them. The goal is to build a pyramid by placing tiles on top of each other. But be careful – the tiles have to match! You can only stack a tile on top of another tile if the colors and patterns align perfectly.
As you build your pyramid, you’ll notice that the shape starts to change. It starts off wide at the base and gets narrower as you go up. It’s like a real pyramid! Isn’t that cool?
Now, let’s talk about scoring. Each tile has a point value assigned to it. The more tiles you use to build your pyramid, the more points you’ll earn. But remember, you have to make sure the tiles match. You don’t want to end up with a wonky pyramid!
Oh, and here’s a tip – if you leave spaces between the tiles, you’ll lose points. So make sure to fill up all the gaps to maximize your score!
And that’s pretty much it! Aztack is a fun and challenging game that will test your stacking skills. So gather your friends and family, and start building your own ancient Aztec pyramid. Have a blast!
Remember, always follow the Aztack game rules, and have fun while doing it. Happy stacking!
Come with me on a journey back in time to the era of the magnificent Aztec civilization. Together, we will embark on a quest to construct a magnificent temple that will bring joy to the high priest. To fulfill our mission, we must carefully arrange and stack stone blocks that are inscribed with sacred symbols and vibrant colors, abiding by the divine rules set forth by the gods. It is of utmost importance that each stone we place matches the ones beneath it, either in color or symbol. Only through our wisdom, strategic thinking, and well-calculated moves, will we be able to lay a significant number of stones and earn the favor of the gods themselves.

How to Play the Game
Your goal in this game is to be the player who gets rid of the most stones. Here’s how you can set up and play:
Setting Up the Game
First, make sure you have all the components you need – 60 stones and the instructions.
Playing the Game
Once you have everything ready, it’s time to start playing:
- Decide who goes first.
- The first player takes all the stones and divides them evenly into six piles. Each pile should have ten stones.
- Now, the players take turns removing stones from the piles.
- On your turn, you can remove as many stones as you want from one pile. You can take all the stones from a pile, or you can take just a few.
- After you take your turn, it’s the next player’s turn.
- The game continues like this, with each player taking turns removing stones from the piles.
- You can’t take stones from a pile that already has zero stones.
- Once all the piles are empty, the game is over.
Scoring
To determine the winner, count the number of stones each player has collected. The player with the most stones wins the game!
- Let’s start by laying all 60 stones face-down and giving them a good mix.
- Next, we’re going to create the foundation of our pyramid. Pick out 12 stones and flip them over so that they’re face-up. Arrange these stones in two rows of six, side by side. It’s important to make sure that each color appears on at least two different stones. If you notice a color is missing, swap out a stone for one that has the missing color(s).
Hey there! Let me walk you through the steps of playing this awesome game. Grab your stones and get ready!
- First, each player needs to draw 12 stones and flip them face-up.
- Next, it’s time to decide who gets to go first. You can take turns or come up with a fun way to choose.
Time to Play!
Now, it’s time to start placing your stones. Each player will take turns and add one of their stones to the base. Make sure to match either the glyph or the color.
Placing Your Stones
When playing the game Aztack, it’s important to understand the rules of placing stones. One strategy is to place a new stone across two existing stones, completely covering the glyphs underneath it. This creates a bridge between the two stones and adds a new layer to the pyramid.
But here’s an important rule: you can’t have half of the new stone match only by color, and the other half match only by glyph. Both aspects must align for a proper match. This rule prevents any confusion or ambiguity.
Want Some Extra Points?
If you manage to place a stone that matches the stones underneath by both color and glyph, you’ll earn a bonus! And as a reward, you may discard one of your remaining, unplaced stones. It’s a clever way to gain an advantage in the game.

Winning the Game
Remember, the ultimate goal is to be the first player to place your last stone. When you achieve this, you’ll win the game and earn the title of the Aztack champion!
If all of us players get stuck without any moves left, the player with the fewest stones left wins. If there’s a tie, the player who put their stone down last wins.
Other Rules to Consider
“Speed Stack”
We don’t take turns in this version. As soon as you see a match, shout what kind of match it is (Colors or glyphs or Colors & glyphs) and then put your stone on top of the stack.
We keep playing like this until one player runs out of stones or until all of us have no more moves. When a player puts down their last stone, they win the game.
If all of us players are stuck without any moves left, the player who put their stone down last wins the game.
