Age II is an exciting and challenging stage, and it requires careful preparation to ensure success. Here are some key factors to consider as you embark on your Age II journey:

2. Technology: Upgrading your technology is crucial in Age II. Research new advancements and stay ahead of your opponents to gain an edge in the game. The right technology can provide you with powerful abilities and strategies to dominate the battlefield.
3. Defenses: As your empire grows, so does the threat from other players. It’s essential to fortify your defenses and protect your territory. Build up your walls, train an army, and keep a watchful eye on any potential attacks.
4. Alliances: Age II is a time for diplomacy. Forge alliances with other players to strengthen your position and create a united front against common enemies. Collaboration and teamwork can greatly enhance your chances of success.
5. Adaptation: Age II brings new challenges and opportunities. Be flexible and adaptable in your strategies, and don’t be afraid to change course if necessary. The ability to adjust your plans on the fly can be a game-changer in Age II.
Remember, Age II is an important phase in your journey. Take the time to plan and prepare, and don’t be afraid to take risks. Embrace the challenges and enjoy the rewards that come with advancing to the next stage. Good luck, and may your empire prosper in Age II!
- I’ll start by placing the Gate card face-up in the empty space of the Pantheon.
- Next, I’ll reveal the Divinity cards that are already in the Pantheon.
- Now, let’s prepare the structure for Age II. I’ll randomly place the 3 Offering tokens face-down on the spaces of the structure as shown, and then reveal what’s on the tokens.
Age III Setup
To set up Age III, I need to do a few things. First, I’ll return the Guilds and 3 other randomly-selected Age III cards to the box. Then, I’ll choose 3 Grand Temple cards at random and add them to the Age III deck without peeking at them. The remaining Grand Temples go back in the box without being seen.
Game Play
Playing the game with the expansion is just like playing the original version, but there are a few extra rules to keep in mind.
Reveal the Hidden Cards
When your turn is over, if you have any face-down cards in your structure that have Mythology or Offering tokens on them, you can choose to flip them over. If you do, take the tokens and place them in front of you:
The Magic of Mythology Tokens
Hey there! Have you ever wondered what happens when you place a Mythology token in front of yourself? Let me tell you all about it!
Picture this: you’re sitting at the table, ready to embark on your gaming adventure. You carefully place a Mythology token in front of you, and like magic, the game transforms before your eyes. It’s like stepping into a new world filled with wonder and mystery.
With a Mythology token in play, the game takes on a whole new level of excitement. It unlocks hidden depths and untold secrets. Suddenly, anything is possible. You could uncover the ancient treasure, defeat a legendary monster, or unlock a hidden power. The possibilities are endless!
But it doesn’t stop there. The power of Mythology tokens goes beyond the game itself. They have a way of transporting you to another time and place. You become the hero of your own epic story, embarking on grand adventures and facing incredible challenges.
Mythology tokens have a mysterious allure that draws you in. They hold the key to unlocking the hidden wonders of the game world. Each token has its own unique power, waiting to be discovered. It’s like having a secret weapon in your pocket, ready to be unleashed at just the right moment.
So, next time you sit down to play a game, don’t forget the power of Mythology tokens. Place one in front of you and watch as the game comes alive. Get ready to embark on an unforgettable adventure filled with mystery, magic, and endless possibilities. Are you ready to step into a world of wonder?
When you play the game, you need to follow these steps:
1. Pull two Divinity cards from the Mythology deck.
2. Choose one of the cards and place it face-down in the Pantheon.
3. Put the other card on top of the corresponding Mythology deck.
Now, let’s talk about the Offering tokens. These tokens give you a discount when you activate a card from the Pantheon. Each token has a number printed on it that determines its value. After you use the token, you have to discard it.
There’s also something special about the Grand Temple. If you have a Mythology token with the symbol of a Grand Temple, you can build that card for free. You don’t have to discard the token. But if you don’t have the token, you can still build a Grand Temple by paying its cost.
When the game ends, I can earn 5, 12, or 21 victory points based on the number of Grand Temples I’ve built.
For example: If I’ve built 2 Grand Temples and someone else has built 1, I’ll score 12 victory points while they’ll score 5.
Using a card from the Pantheon
Starting in Age II, I have a new action available. Alongside the actions to construct a Building, discard to gain Coins, or construct a Wonder, I can now activate a card from the Pantheon without using a card from my structure.
When I want to use a card from the Pantheon:
- Choose a card in the Pantheon that matches the color of one of my built temples.
- Take the card and place it face up in my play area.
- Receive the depicted benefit on the card.
When playing the game, you have two options for your turn:
1. Pay the cost indicated on the space where the Divinity is located or on the Gate using coins and/or Offering tokens. Remember, each space shows two costs – one for you and one for your opponent. You always have to pay your cost, and the spaces further away from you will cost more. Keep in mind that the cost of the Gate is double the size of the space.
2. Take the Divinity or Gate card and place it in front of you. Then, immediately apply its effect.
For example, let’s say Elodie activates Mars. She pays 5 coins – 3 with the help of an Offering token and 2 from her City’s treasury. After paying the cost, she places the Mars card in front of herself and moves the Conflict token forward 2 spaces.
The Game Comes to an End
When the game is over, it follows a similar pattern as the base game. You must remember to calculate the victory points awarded by the Divinities and record them in the designated section on the Score notepad.

Suddenly, that card is brought to life, transformed into something amazing that you can use in the game. And the best part? It doesn’t cost you a thing. It’s like getting a gift from the gaming gods!

To sum it up, Zeus is a game-changer. He takes discarded cards from the beginning of the game and lets you bring one of them back to life. It’s like giving those cards a second chance to shine. By following the rituals and honoring Anubis, the ancient Egyptians believed that they could secure a smooth transition into the afterlife for their loved ones. This belief gave them solace and a sense of peace, knowing that their departed family members were under the watchful eye of Anubis.
So, my friend, when you explore the intriguing world of Anubis, remember that there is much to learn and appreciate. From his association with death and the afterlife to his role as a guardian and guide, Anubis holds a position of immense significance in ancient Egyptian mythology.
Let this journey into the realm of Anubis deepen your understanding of ancient beliefs and spark your curiosity about the mysteries that lie beyond our mortal existence. Embrace the wonder and embrace the unknown.
When you discard a card that was used to build a Wonder – whether it’s your own or an opponent’s – something interesting happens. The player who owns the Wonder doesn’t lose any of the immediate benefits they received from it. This includes things like shields, coins, progress tokens, cards that were constructed or discarded, and even replay effects.
But here’s the really cool part: you have the chance to rebuild that same Wonder and activate its effects all over again! It’s like getting a second chance to make use of its powers.
The Power of Isis
When you’re playing 7 Wonders, there’s a cool trick you can use to build your Wonders without spending any resources. Just choose a card from the discard pile and voilà! You can use that card to construct one of your Wonders for free. It’s like getting a bonus for being resourceful!
Now, let’s talk about Ra. Ra is a special card that lets you steal an opponent’s Wonder that hasn’t been built yet. You can snatch it right from under their nose and add it to your own collection of Wonders. It’s a sneaky move that can really give you the upper hand!
Speaking of wonders, did you know that 7 Wonders Duel also has a Pantheon expansion? It introduces new gods and mythologies for you to explore. One of them is Roman Mythology, which adds a whole new layer of depth and strategy to the game. With the power of the Roman gods on your side, you’ll become an unstoppable force!
And let’s not forget about Mars. This expansion takes the game to a whole new level by introducing the red planet. With Mars, you’ll have access to new cards and abilities that can help you conquer your opponent and secure your victory. It’s an exciting addition that will take your gameplay to new heights!
Did you know that this Divinity gives you not just one, but two shields? Pretty cool, right?
Meet Minerva
When you want to play the game, you need to start by placing the Minerva pawn on any space of the Military Track. Now, here’s something interesting — if the Conflict pawn would normally move into the space where the Minerva pawn is, it actually stops right there! This means the Conflict pawn doesn’t get to move any further and its movement ends. Of course, when this happens, we have to discard the Minerva pawn.
Just a quick reminder: the Conflict pawn can only move one space at a time. Keep that in mind!
Let me give you an example to help you understand better. Imagine Elodie is playing the game. She decides to construct a Courthouse. As a result, she moves the Conflict pawn two spaces. Now, because of this move, the Minerva pawn is discarded. Sadly, this means that Elodie loses the last Shield that was granted by the Court House. It’s a bit of a bummer, isn’t it?
Neptune
So here’s what you can do with Neptune: pick a Military token, and instead of using its effect, you can just throw it away. No consequences for you. Then, you get to choose another Military token, and this time, you get to apply its effect. Once you’ve used it, it’s discarded.
Let me give you an example. Elodie decides to use Neptune’s power. She throws away a Military token that would have made her lose 5 coins. No thanks! Instead, she picks another Military token and decides to make Jack lose 5 coins. That’s what you call a power move. And just like before, once she’s used the token, it’s gone.
The Gate Explained
So here’s the thing about the Gate: activating it is a bit more costly than usual. In fact, it’s twice as expensive. So, if you want to use the Gate, you better be prepared to pay up.

Understanding the Progress Tokens
Progress tokens play a crucial role in our system. They are markers that represent milestones and accomplishments throughout your journey. Let me explain what they are and how they work.
1. Bronze Token: This token is the starting point of your progress. It signifies the beginning of your journey towards achieving your goals. 2. Silver Token: The silver token is a significant milestone in your progress. It shows that you’re making steady progress and moving forward. 3. Gold Token: The gold token is the ultimate achievement. When you reach this token, it means you have successfully accomplished your goals. It represents the highest level of progress. 4. Platinum Token: The platinum token is a special token that indicates exceptional progress. It represents going above and beyond in your journey and signifies extraordinary accomplishments. 5. Diamond Token: The diamond token is the pinnacle of success. It symbolizes reaching a level of progress that is unmatched and truly remarkable.
Now that you understand the meaning behind each token, you can see how they act as a motivator and a measure of your progress. As you strive to achieve your goals, you’ll earn these tokens and experience the satisfaction and pride that come with them. So, keep pushing forward and collecting those tokens. You’ve got this!
Mysticism
When the game is over, I’ll get victory points for each Mythology token and Offering token I still have. Each token is worth 2 victory points.
For example: At the end of the game, let’s say I have 2 Divinity tokens and 1 Offering token. That means I’ll earn 6 victory points.
Poliorcetics
Hey there! Let me tell you about this cool thing called Poliorcetics. It’s a strategy that can give you an edge in your battles. When you move the Conflict token forward on the track, something interesting happens – your opponent loses a coin for each space you move! How cool is that?
Need an example to really understand it? Sure thing! Let’s say Elodie has the Poliorcetics token and she decides to construct a Courthouse, which has 3 shields. Now, she moves the Conflict token 3 spaces towards her opponent’s capital. And guess what? Her opponent loses 3 coins just like that! It’s like a little victory within the game.
So, if you want to turn the tides of battle in your favor and make your opponent feel the burn, Poliorcetics is the way to go. Give it a try and see the impact it can have!
Engineering
Hey there! Did you know that with the Engineering token, you can build any card that has a chaining symbol (a white symbol) under its cost, even if your city doesn’t have the Building or token associated with that symbol? It’s pretty cool, right?
Let me give you an example: Imagine Elodie has the Engineering token and she wants to build the Fortifications card. But here’s the thing, she doesn’t have the Palisade, which is usually required. No worries though! Elodie can still construct the Fortifications by simply paying 1 coin to the bank. Easy peasy!
