When we play the game, everyone gets a card with a character from Wonderland. These cards have special powers that can help us or cause problems for other players.

If you’re out of the game or your card is turned to the side, you can’t use your character’s abilities.

The Queen of Hearts

Ah, the cantankerous hostess. Being the ruler of Wonderland means making up new rules on a whim, even while sipping her tea!

So, you get to choose the topic for discussion by picking the top two cards from the pile.

And guess what? You go first in the round.

During the Preparation phase, you get to draw a random red letter card, but don’t show it to the other players. As soon as your turn in the Discussion phase ends, you have the power to slap your letter card above the Forbidden Letters.

That letter is a big no-no for everyone else. But here’s the catch: you gotta toss it away at the start of your next turn.

Oh, and if that mischievous White Rabbit decides to play his letter card too, well, too bad for him. You get to swap it with yours, and his card goes right into the discard pile.

Believe it or not, you can actually be kicked out of your own party. Yup, it’s true. In Wonderland, the law is the law!

White Rabbit

I’m the Messenger for the Queen of Hearts, and let me tell you, I have a special advantage that I sometimes use to my advantage!

During the preparation phase, I get to draw a random purple letter card. It’s a secret, so I don’t show it to anyone else. Then, during the discussion phase, right after my turn, I have the option to put my letter card above the row of Forbidden Letters.

Here’s the catch – that letter becomes forbidden for all the other players. They can’t use it! But, on my next turn, I have to get rid of it and discard it.

Now, if by any chance the Queen of Hearts has already placed his letter card before I use my ability, I get to replace it with mine. Talk about power!

Oh, and don’t forget about the Cheshire Cat!

This enigmatic feline always sports a wide grin. He possesses the uncanny ability to vanish from sight, using it mischievously to play tricks.

Once in every round, when it’s your turn, you have the option to tilt your Character card sideways, halting your gameplay momentarily. At that instant, the player sitting to your left must promptly reset the timer and proceed with their turn.

However, please note that you can only exercise this power before your time runs out.

The Tweedle Twins

When it comes to Tweedledum and Tweedledee, you can’t have one without the other. They are the dynamic duo that brings twice the fun and twice the mischief!

During the Preparation phase, each player is given two Time Tokens.

Once it’s your turn, you have the option to give up one of your Time Tokens. If you choose to do so, simply press the timer to reset it and continue with your turn. However, once your time has elapsed, you can no longer discard a Time Token.

If you’re feeling daring, you can discard both of your Time Tokens in a single turn.

Alice’s Adventure with the Caterpillar

This mysterious bug doesn’t say much, but rumors have it that it can see into the future. No one knows for sure if it really has this power or if it’s just incredibly lucky.

During the Preparation phase, grab the Caterpillar token. Choose another player and place the token in front of them. When the Cleanup phase comes around, you’ll earn bonus points. The number of bonus points you score is half of the points on the player’s Scoring card, rounded down. So if the player scores 3 points, you’ll earn one bonus point.

Keep in mind that the bonus points the player with the Caterpillar token earns don’t count for your bonus. Only the points on their Scoring card contribute to your total.

It’s important to note that you cannot use this Character card in games with only 3 players.

Alice

I’m just a regular girl from another world, but for some reason, I always manage to steal the spotlight.

During the Cleanup phase, you get a little bonus – half the points shown on your Scoring card, rounded down. So, if your card is worth 3 points, you get an extra point.

Unfortunately, I can’t be used when there are only 3 players. Sorry!

The Unique Two Of Hearts

Captain of the Royal Guard: I am the esteemed Captain of the Royal Guard. I feel incredibly honored to have received an invitation to this grand party, and I am fully committed to ensuring its success.

As the rounds progress, every time another player completes their turn, I have a unique ability. I can turn my Character card sideways, allowing me to take immediate action. When this happens, the player who just ended their turn must quickly press the timer and take another turn.

Furthermore, the power bestowed upon me by the Queen of Hearts grants me a special privilege. Unlike others, the Forbidden Letter placed by her does not forbid me.

Mad Hatter:

In Wonderland, madness is the norm, but no one takes madness to the extreme like the Mad Hatter. He effortlessly defies all laws, even the ones that govern Time itself!

During the Preparation phase, I get to take a Time token.

When it’s my turn, I have the option to discard the Time token. If I choose to do so, I can reset the timer and continue with my turn. However, once my time runs out, I can no longer discard the Time token.

Once per round, while it’s my turn, I have the ability to flip my Character card to the side. By doing this, I can ignore any one of the Forbidden Letters for that turn. This includes the letter that may have been placed by the Queen of Hearts or the White Rabbit’s abilities.

I have the freedom to use both of my abilities in the same turn.
