The Artistic Game of Pantone

If you’re a creative person, Pantone is the perfect game for you! Whether you’re a painter or any kind of artist, this game gives you a chance to fully express yourself. It’s time to unleash your creativity!

Here’s how it works: you’ll be given a character card, and then you’ll use color swatches to build that character as quickly as you can. But here’s the twist – you only have one minute to do it! So get those creative juices flowing and be fast!

After you’ve built your character, the other players will try to guess who you are. They’ll have a few hints to help them, but be careful – the more hints they need, the fewer points you’ll get. And as the game goes on, it’ll get harder and harder. In the final round, you can only use three color cards to depict your character!

So let your imagination run wild, have fun, and enjoy the colorful world of Pantone!

Getting Started

Alright, let’s get started with the game! We shuffle the deck of character cards and hand out four cards to each player. Now, everyone selects one card to get rid of, leaving us with three cards in our hands. Make sure to keep your cards hidden from the other players. The Swatch cards are placed nearby, and we’re all set to begin!

GAMEPLAY

Now, it’s time for the Artist to shine! The Artist selects one card from their hand, starts a one-minute timer, and begins their masterpiece. They have exactly one minute to use the Swatch cards and create a portrayal of their character. In the first round, the Artist can use as many cards as they want. However, in the second round, they can only use one card of each color. In the final round, they’re limited to using only three Swatch cards.

Once I finish my drawing, or when the timer runs out, we all take turns guessing the character in clockwise order. I have to guess within five seconds, and if I get it right, both of us earn five points.

If nobody guesses correctly the first time, I can give a hint, but I’ll lose a point for doing so. I have four hints available. If nobody gets the character after four hints, we count up our points and move on to the next round.

The Artist role goes to the next person in clockwise order. The game continues with the same rules, but there are more restrictions on the cards we can use. After three rounds, we tally up our points. The person with the most points at the end of three rounds wins the game!

END OF GAME

The game ends after three rounds. The player with the highest score wins!
