Setting Up the Game

First, we need to place all the silly things in Ned’s Head. Ned himself goes in the center of the playing area. Make sure everyone can easily reach into Ned’s Head.

It’s important that we have a card for each item we put in Ned’s Head. We shuffle the cards and place them face down in a stack near the play area.

How to Play

Each player gets dealt one card from the stack. Remember, don’t let anyone else see your card! On each card, there’s a picture of a silly thing. Your job is to find that silly thing inside Ned’s Head.

Once we’ve all taken a peek at our cards, we announce that we’re “ready” and shout out in unison, “What’s in Ned’s Head!” Ready, set, go! We dive right in, sticking our hands into the nearest nostril or ear and exploring Ned’s Head to find what we’re looking for. Remember, no cheating, no sneaking a peek!

The Wrong Item Oopsie

So, here’s the deal: if I pull out the wrong silly thing, well, I’ve gotta hold onto it. But no worries, because everyone else gets a turn to pull out a silly thing too. Once everyone has had their chance, it’s bye-bye silly thing as I have to put it back into Ned’s Head.

But hey, if none of us find our silly things, guess what? Ned wins! Yep, that means all our wrong silly things go back into Ned’s Head, and we get to start the game all over again.

Oh, and here’s an extra twist for those who wanna play a longer game. We can play in rounds. So, when someone’s the first to find the right silly thing, they keep their card and we start a whole new round. The player with the most cards at the end (aka the winner) is the champ!

You can draw a snazzy picture of the item on the card, or ask a grown-up to snap a photo and help you cut it out. Stick it onto the card with some glue. Lastly, make sure to write the name of the object at the bottom of the card. And voila! You’re all set for an unforgettable playtime!

Caring for Ned

Cleaning Ned’s silly objects is a breeze. All you have to do is wash each item with gentle soap and water, being careful not to be too rough. Afterward, simply lay them out to air dry. As for Ned’s Head, it can be cleaned by gently wiping it with a damp cloth and mild soap. Just remember not to try washing Ned’s Head in a washing machine.

When it comes to folding up Ned’s Head, it’s a blast to keep him out of his box. You can even use him as a secret stash for your stuff or as a cool decoration in your room! But if you ever want to put him back in the box, here’s how you can do it:

Step 1

First, I want you to grab the rod near Ned’s eyes with one hand and the rod by one of his ears with your other hand. Next, gently turn Ned on his side and press down to flatten him.

Step 2

Now, take Ned’s big nose and fold it in towards the rest of his head.

Step 3

Carefully slide Ned’s head into the box, making sure to hold onto him. Don’t let go just yet! He’ll pop out when you’re ready to play again!

End of the Game

Okay, here’s the fun part! When you think you’ve found the silly thing that matches the picture on your card, you can pull it out and take a look. If it’s a match, congratulations, you win the game!
