Hey there! I need your help to pack my trunks for vacation. There’s just one tiny problem – there’s a sneaky mouse trying to make a mess of everything! The goal is to be the first player to pack all of your clothing tokens.

Getting Ready

Here’s what you’ll need to do:

1. First, empty the four trunks and arrange them in a circle in the middle of the playing area. Make sure the trunks are facing towards the players.
2. Next, place the elephant figurine in front of one of the trunks.
3. Make sure the color die is within reach of all players.
4. Lastly, depending on how many players there are:

If there are four of us, each player will need 6 tokens of one type of clothing (either 6 shorts, 6 shirts, 6 caps, or 6 pairs of socks). But if there are three players, we’ll take 6 of one type of clothing and divide 2 each of the remaining type.

When playing with two players, each of us will take 4 pieces of clothing from two different types, like 4 shorts and 4 caps. We’ll put the remaining clothes back in the box.

How to Play

First, we’ll decide who starts the game by seeing who can make the best elephant sound. The person who makes the best sound gets to go first, and then play will go to the left.

On your turn, you’ll roll the die and see what it shows.

If the die shows:

• A color: Open the trunk that matches this color, and choose one of your clothing tokens to put inside.
• Bonus: If Emmet is standing in front of this trunk, you can pack two tokens instead of just one. Then close the trunk and pass the die to the next player.
• A mouse: Uh-oh! There’s a sneaky mouse hiding inside the trunk next to Emmet, and it will empty out all the clothes!

So, here’s what you need to do. First, pop open the trunk. Take a look inside. If you see any clothing tokens in there, you’ve got some work to do. You’ll need to empty the trunk and gather up all those tokens. Why? Because they’re extra clothes that you’ll need to pack away for later in the game. But hey, if you’re really lucky, the trunk might be empty. In that case, you don’t have to worry about gathering any extra tokens. You can just leave them behind and move on. Nice, right? It’s like winning a little game within a game.
