Get Ready to Play Click Clack Lumberjack!

Are you ready to have some fun? Well, I’ve got just the game for you. It’s called Click Clack Lumberjack, and let me tell you, it’s a blast!

Now, you might be wondering, what exactly is Click Clack Lumberjack? Well, let me break it down for you. In this game, you and your friends take turns trying to knock down the branches of a tree using a little axe. Sounds easy, right? Well, it’s not as simple as it seems.

The branches of the tree are held by a special base called the tree trunk. And this tree trunk? It’s not just any ordinary base. It’s a wobbly base. That means every time you hit a branch, the tree trunk wobbles and shakes. And let me tell you, things can get pretty intense!

So, here’s how it works. You take turns being the Lumberjack, and it’s your job to carefully hit the branches with your axe. The goal is to knock down as many branches as you can without making the tree trunk tip over. But be careful! If you hit the tree trunk and it falls, you lose points.

But remember, it’s not just about being fast. You’ll need to be strategic too. You want to aim for the branches that have more bark showing, as those are worth more points. So choose your swings wisely!

And that’s pretty much all there is to it. It’s a simple game, but trust me, it’s a whole lot of fun. So grab your friends, set up the tree, and get ready to play Click Clack Lumberjack!

Hey there! Ready to embark on an exciting adventure? Let me explain how this game works in simpler terms. Basically, you earn points by using an Axe to knock off pieces called Bark. But be careful, because if you accidentally knock off Core pieces, you’ll lose points. The player with the most points at the end wins!

Getting Started

Before we start, there are a few things you need to do. First, attach the four Grub Stickers to four different Bark pieces. It’s important to randomly place the stickers, so the game remains fair and balanced. You don’t want any Core piece to have all four Bark pieces of the same color surrounding it. Take a look at picture A for reference.

How to Play the Click Clack Lumberjack Game

Hey there! I’ll show you how to play the super fun Click Clack Lumberjack game. It’s a game where you use an axe to chop down a tree. Sounds cool, right? Let’s get started!

First things first, the youngest player goes first. After that, we take turns hitting the tree two times wherever we want. When we whack the tree, some pieces of bark might fall off. Those pieces stay in front of us and we get points for them at the end of the game.

Now, here’s a cool thing – if a piece of bark with a grub sticker falls off, we get to take an extra turn. It’s like a bonus! To end our turn, we pass the axe to the player on our left. And the game keeps going around clockwise.

Hit anywhere on the Tree two times.

When Does the Game End?

The game ends when all the bark has fallen off the tree. It doesn’t matter if some of the big pieces in the middle are still standing. That’s when we stop chopping!

How Do We Score?

  • Bark: No matter what color it is, we get 1 point for each piece of bark that falls off the tree.
  • Core: Uh-oh, if one of the big pieces in the middle falls, we lose 5 points. Be careful!
  • Grub: Good news! If we see a grub sticker on a piece of bark that fell, we get 1 extra point.

So, that’s it – the fun game of Click Clack Lumberjack! It’s all about chopping the tree, collecting bark for points, avoiding those pesky core pieces, and grabbing extra turns when we find grub stickers. Have a blast playing!

Do you want to know how to win the game and become the champion? Then listen up!

The goal of the game is simple: get the most points to win. But what happens if two players have the same score? That’s when things get interesting!

In case of a tie, the tied players will face an exciting challenge. They will take turns trying to balance the Axe on their palms. It’s not as easy as it sounds, trust me! The player who manages to balance the Axe for the longest time will be crowned the ultimate winner!

So, remember, it’s not just about the points. You also need to master the art of balancing the Axe to secure your victory. Are you up for the challenge?

Speed Cutting Variant

  • For games with 3 players, the winning score is 12 points.
  • For games with 4 players, the winning score is 9 points.
  • For games with 5 players, the winning score is 7 points.
  • For games with 6 players, the winning score is 6 points.
  • For games with 7 players, the winning score is 5 points.

Balanced Play Variant

If you were the last one to finish in the previous game, you can decide whether or not to take an extra swing with the axe on each turn.

In a game with 4 players, the winner from the previous game should take one less swing per turn too!

Welcome to the Advanced Game

I’m excited to introduce you to the Advanced Game! It’s pretty similar to the Basic Game, but there are some important differences in scoring:

  • A Grub is worth 0 points
  • A Light Brown is worth 1 point
  • A Brown is worth 2 points
  • A Dark Brown is worth 3 points
  • A Core will set you back 10 points

Don’t Miss Variant

Now, here’s an interesting twist! If you fail to knock off any Barks during your turn, you will need to place your lowest point Bark near the Trunk. But don’t worry, if you don’t have any Barks left, you won’t need to place anything near the Trunk.

Here’s where it gets even more exciting – the next player who successfully knocks off at least one Bark will receive all the Barks that were placed near the tree as an extra bonus. And guess what? If multiple players have placed Barks near the Trunk, the lucky player can get more than one bonus Bark!

Precision Cutting Variant

Now, I’ve got something special for a 3-player game, or a 6-player game if two players are teamed up. Each player or team gets to choose a color to knock off. Isn’t that cool?

In this game, each Bark has a point value. If the Bark is in your color, you get 2 points. If the Bark is in a different player’s color, you lose 1 point. And finally, each Core is worth -5 points.

Vary Your Bark Choices

Here’s the catch: you can’t knock off the same color of Bark that the previous player knocked off. For example, if Zach knocked off a Light Brown Bark, Tera can’t knock off any Light Brown Barks on her turn.

Let’s say Tera decides to knock off a Dark Brown and a Brown Bark instead. Now it’s Eliza’s turn, and she also can’t knock off any Brown or Dark Brown Barks.

If a player manages to knock off all three colors of Bark, the next player’s turn is skipped. But be careful! If you knock off a Bark that was already knocked off by the previous player, that Bark is removed from the game, and no one scores any points from it.
