The Rules of Cash and Guns Game
Imagine you and your friends are in a world of fast cash and dangerous weapons. Welcome to the thrilling game of Cash and Guns! Here, I’ll guide you through the exciting rules of this game.
Objective: The aim of Cash and Guns is to be the last person standing with the most loot! You will play as a gangster, working your way up in the criminal underworld. Setup: To start, you’ll need the game board, foam guns, bullet cards, loot cards, and the eight characters to choose from. Shuffle the loot deck and place it face down. Each player receives a foam gun, three bullet cards, five loot cards, and a character card. Gameplay: Cash and Guns is played over several rounds, with each round having the following phases:
1. The Loot Phase: The top five cards from the loot deck are revealed, creating a line-up. These cards represent valuable items you can steal.
2. The Planning Phase: Each player secretly chooses one bullet card and places it face down. This card determines whether you shoot another gangster or chicken out by hiding.
3. The Standoff Phase: Everyone points their foam gun at another player, ready to pull the trigger! This is where the game gets intense. You can bluff, intimidate, or cooperate with others, trying to outsmart your rivals.
4. The Resolution Phase: The chosen bullet cards are revealed. If you have been targeted by a bullet, you are out for the rest of the round. However, if you survive, you can decide to grab some loot! But be careful, as sometimes loot isn’t what it seems.
5. The Cleanup Phase: All loot cards are claimed, and any special abilities or effects are resolved.
Special Character Abilities: Each character in Cash and Guns has a unique ability that can give you an advantage. Some characters are tougher to shoot, while others are great at stealing loot or avoiding bullets. Choose wisely to maximize your chances of success. End of the Game: The game continues until there is only one gangster left standing, or until the loot deck is empty. The player with the most loot wins, becoming the ultimate crime lord!
Now that you understand the rules of Cash and Guns, gather your crew, load your foam guns, and prepare for an adrenaline-pumping adventure in the world of fast cash and dangerous weapons. Good luck, gangsters!

When we play this game, we each get some stuff. I get a Foam gun, some Click cards, some Bang! cards, and a Character. I put my Character in front of me.
We mix up all the Loot cards and split them into 8 groups of 8 cards.
We put the New Godfather token in the middle of the table, next to the Loot cards.
We put the Wound tokens close by.
The oldest player gets the Godfather’s desk and puts it in front of their Character.
The point of the game
In this game, we are all gangsters trying to get our share of the big loot. We play 8 rounds, and the player with the most money at the end wins.

Game Play
When we play the game, we follow these 7 steps.
I am the Godfather, and I guide us through each step, one by one.
1. Finding Loot
First, we flip over 8 Loot cards and place them face-up. We also check that the New Godfather token is showing its available side on my desk.
2. Choosing the Bullet Card
Next, each player secretly selects a Bullet card (either a Click or a Bang!) and puts it face-down in front of them.
Remember, you only use each card once! You have 8 cards in total, one for each turn.
3. The Hold-Up
Now, I’ll count to three as the Godfather for this turn. When I reach three, each player must point their foam gun at another player, as if they’re holding them up.
Keep in mind, if you’re too slow, you won’t be able to hold anyone up during this turn.
4. The Godfather’s Privilege
So, here’s how it goes: once we all pick our targets, then the Big Boss can tell someone to switch targets. The person who gets told to switch has to pick a new target. Simple enough, right?
5. Being Brave
Next, the Big Boss counts to three again. When they do, each of us has to make a choice. We can either:
- Lie our character down
- Stay standing and shout: “Banzai!”
If we lie our character down, we throw away our bullet card (that means we’re not shooting), and we won’t get to share in the loot. But, on the bright side, we won’t get hurt, either.
If we stay standing, though, we take a risk. There’s a chance we’ll get wounded, but if we’re lucky, we’ll get a piece of the loot.
Now, here’s the thing: if your target decides to lie down, then you don’t get to shoot them. We don’t shoot cowards around here, you know?
6. What the Cards Do

When it’s time to reveal the card in front of me, I’ll see what happens based on its effects:
- If I reveal a “Click” card, nothing happens.
- If I reveal a “Bang!” card, the player I targeted is wounded! They’ll take one Wound and lay their Character down. They won’t get to share in the loot this turn.
Here’s a few things to remember:
All the card effects are applied at the same time, which means that if two players target each other with “Bang!” cards, they can wound each other.
If I’m the target of multiple “Bang!” cards, I can get more than one wound in a single turn.
If I end up with a total of 3 wounds, I’m out of the game.
Just a reminder: if I or my target have already laid down, the Bullet card will be discarded and have no effect.
7. Sharing the loot

Let’s talk about how we split the loot in the game. We start with the Godfather and then move clockwise. Each player who still has their Character standing and hasn’t recently been wounded or laid down gets to take a share of the loot. You can get either a card or the New Godfather token.
If the Godfather has laid down or is wounded, then the closest standing player going clockwise gets to start taking the loot for themselves.
We keep going around the table, taking turns to grab the loot, until everything has been taken. Sometimes, we even go around the table multiple times. It’s even possible for one player to end up with everything!
Instead of taking a card, you also have the option to flip the New Godfather token. If you do this, you get to be the Godfather on the next turn, but it doesn’t change how we’re currently sharing the loot.
By the way, I think it’s a good idea to keep your Loot cards face-down for the rest of the game. It adds some mystery and excitement!
When the game ends

Hey there! Wanna know how to win this game? I’ll break it down for you.
First things first, the game ends after the 8th turn. That’s when all the Loot cards get handed out. But here’s the kicker: only the players who are still alive have a shot at winning.
Now, here’s how you become the victor. Take a look at the number of diamond cards you’ve got, no matter their value. The player with the most diamonds snags the $60,000 bonus card, no strings attached.
But hold up, what if there’s a tie? Well, in that case, nobody gets the bonus. Life can be tough sometimes, huh?
Alright, on to the next step. Now it’s time to add up the total value of your loot. The player with the fattest stack of cash wins the game. Simple enough, right?
But wait, what happens if, by some wild chance, there’s still a tie? Well, in that case, the player with the most wounds comes out on top. And if there’s still a tie after that, everybody shares the victory. Friendship never looked so good!
Oh, and here’s a little tidbit for you to keep in mind: if you’re the last player standing, you win automatically. No need to jump through any extra hoops; it’s all yours!
Now, let’s talk about the value of the Loot cards:
Each bill is worth either $5,000, $10,000, or $20,000. Remember that as you strategize your way to those diamonds!
Hey there! Did you know that diamonds can be worth a pretty penny in this game? They come in three different values – $1,000, $5,000, and $10,000. But here’s the exciting part: the player with the most diamond cards at the end of the game gets an awesome bonus of $60,000! If there’s a tie, though, nobody gets the bonus.
Now, let’s talk about the value of paintings. It all depends on how many you have in your collection. Take a look at this:
- If you have 1 painting, it’s worth $4,000.
- If you have 2 paintings, they’re worth $12,000 together.
- If you have 3 paintings, they’re worth a cool $30,000.
- If you have 4 paintings, they’re worth a whopping $60,000!
- If you have 5 paintings, they’re worth a staggering $100,000!
- If you have 6 paintings, they’re worth an incredible $150,000!
- If you have 7 paintings, they’re worth a mind-blowing $200,000!
- If you have 8 paintings, they’re worth an astonishing $300,000!
- If you have 9 paintings, they’re worth an unbelievable $400,000!
- If you have 10 paintings, they’re worth an outrageous $500,000!
When I grab a First Aid kit, it’s like magic – all my wounds disappear in an instant. No matter how hurt I am, this handy kit does the trick. Just remember, if I’m lucky enough to have no wounds at all, the First Aid kit won’t do anything for me – it’s only meant for healing.
And let me tell you about Clips – they’re a game-changer. When I pick up a Clip card, something exciting happens. Not only do I get to take a Bang! card from the discard pile, but I also get to add it to my hand of cards. It’s like finding hidden treasure! But here’s the catch – I have to toss out another card from my hand. It’s a small price to pay for the power of Clips. However, if there aren’t any Bang! cards in the discard pile, I lose the Clip. So I have to keep my eye out for those discarded treasures.
