Setup

Start by separating the 6 Bullet Cards from the rest of the deck and placing them aside.

Deal 8 cards to each player, making sure they can’t look at them just yet. Then, place the remaining cards into draw piles on the table, where they’re easily accessible to all players.

Let me break down a fun game for you. It’s called “Four Card Showdown.” Here’s how it goes:

First, I need a deck of cards. Each player takes four cards and places them face down on the table, right next to each other. This is where the action happens. Now, take the other four cards in your hand and keep them face down on your side. These are your secret weapons.

When a match is revealed, you can start shooting right away (we’ll cover matches and shooting rules later). If you’re lucky enough to have one or more Shield cards in your opening set, consider yourself fortunate.

To play a Shield card, simply slide it out sideways in front of your set. Replace the empty space in your set by drawing a card from the draw pile. Remember, you can only have one Shield card in play at a time.

If you happen to flip multiple Shield cards during your opening set, take enough cards from the draw pile to cover each additional Shield card in your set.

Once your set consists entirely of Character cards, take a look at your hand and see what you’ve got. It’s time to rock and roll.

2. Create Matches and Shoot Opponents

In Panic Fire, we don’t take turns. We all play together. You can play using your own cards or play on your opponents’ sets. The goal is to create matches with character cards and use the toy gun to eliminate your opponents. Remember, you always need to draw a new card after playing one.

Every character card has a number that represents the required matches. In order to make a match, you need to have the right number of matching character cards face up in your set.

Let me give you an example: When you want to make a match with The Nun cards, you need to have 3 out of the 4 cards in your set facing up as The Nun.

On the other hand, if you want to make a match with The Alien cards, you need all four cards in your set facing up as The Alien.

When you’re playing the game, you have the ability to add new character cards to your sets or your opponent’s sets. This can help you create matches and score points.

But there’s an important rule to keep in mind: you can only play a character card on a set if that character is already in the set. In other words, you can’t add a character that isn’t already there.

In this case, Jane can replace Clark’s card with her own Cowboy card because they both have the same card in play.
