So here’s the deal: every round, you get to pick one of two Puzzle Tiles. Grab the one you like and plop it into your Grid. Pretty simple, right? But what happens if you can’t fit either of the tiles? Don’t sweat it, my friend! You get a Second Chance – your very own special Puzzle Tile. Try to squeeze it into your Grid, and if you succeed, the game goes on! If not, well, sorry to say, but you’re out.

• Grid Sheets with Blocks

You can use the Overview Cards and the Inlay to see which Puzzle Tiles are included in the game.

Game Objective

Your goal is to fill your Grid by placing Puzzle Tiles in it. The more squares you fill, the better. At the end of the game, the person with the fewest empty squares wins.

Getting Started

First, each of you will need a Grid Sheet and a pencil.

I will shuffle the Starting Tile Cards and give one to each of you. Take a look at your card and draw it on your Grid Sheet. Make sure to put it in the Center Space, which is marked by a circle.

Great job! Now, please return your Starting Tiles to the box. We won’t need them anymore.

Next, I will shuffle the Puzzle Tile Cards and create a deck. I’ll place this deck face down in the middle of the table.

Hey there! Here’s a handy tip: Whenever you’re drawing Puzzle Tiles in Second Chance, start by outlining the shape and marking off all the squares. This will help you avoid mistakes or confusion as the game progresses.

About the Game

Each round, two Cards from the Deck will be revealed. You and the other players will get to choose one Puzzle Tile each and draw it in your Grid. It’s totally fine if multiple players choose the same Puzzle Tile.

After everyone has drawn a Puzzle Tile, two new Cards will be revealed and placed on top of the previous Cards.

What You Can Do

• You can rotate and mirror the Puzzle Tiles.

This Puzzle Tile can be drawn in eight different ways.

There are Some Things You Should Know.

• I can change the position of Puzzle Tiles that have already been drawn.
• I can draw Puzzle Tiles on top of each other or overlap them.
• I can draw Puzzle Tiles in a way that goes beyond the Grid.

Second Chance

What happens when none of the Puzzle Tiles fit?

If you can’t draw any of the revealed Puzzle Tiles in your Grid, just wait until the other players have drawn their Puzzle Tile. Afterward, you get a special Second Chance. You reveal an extra Puzzle Tile Card just for yourself.

Case A – It Fits!

When you come across the Second Chance Puzzle Tile, don’t worry! Just place it in your Grid, and you can keep playing as usual in the next round. And guess what? You might even get more than one Second Chance during the game!

Oops! It Doesn’t Fit!

If you can’t draw the Second Chance Puzzle Tile, you’re out of the game. Several players can drop out at the same time. The players who drop out first in each game write the number 1 in an empty square. This 1 serves two purposes: it fills the square and acts as a tiebreaker at the end of the game.

Even if you drop out first, you still have a chance to win the game.

Your Second Chance Puzzle Tile will be thrown away and cannot be used by other players.

Game Over

The game can come to an end in three different ways. Let me break them down for you:

1. When everyone drops out of the game, it’s over. No more playing.
2. The Deck runs out of Cards. If there are no more Puzzle Tile Cards left to reveal, the game is done.
3. Someone fills up their entire Grid. Once a player manages to do this, the game is instantly over.

If you find yourself unable to reveal two new Puzzle Tile Cards for the next round or if all players decide to call it quits, then the game ends right there.

On top of that, if there aren’t enough Puzzle Tile Cards remaining to give every player a Second Chance, the game ends without anyone getting a Second Chance.

To determine the winner, count all the squares in your Grid that are still empty. The player with the fewest empty squares is the victor!

But what if there’s a tie? Don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. In the event of a tie, the players who have a “1” in their Grids take the prize.

And here’s an exciting twist – if one or more players manage to fill their entire Grids, the game ends unexpectedly. But don’t worry, they instantly become the winners of the game.

Solo Mode: Let’s Play and Add Up!

Hey there! Ready to have some fun? In the Solo Mode, we’ll play three games in a row and add up all the empty squares on each grid.

My goal is simple – I want to end up with fewer than ten empty squares. Easy peasy, right? Oh, and just so you know, in the Solo Mode, you don’t earn any bonus points for dropping out.
