To win the game, your goal is to be the first player to reach the finish space and complete the final Scatterbrainz question.

Since winning is your aim, we’ve made it a bit tougher this time. While everyone else only provides a single answer, you must give two answers yourself.

If you didn’t get penalized in the round, congrats! You’re the winner of the game!

What’s the Deal with These Cards?

Rules

When I draw a ROOLZ card, the effect of that card doesn’t just last for my turn. It might actually last for the rest of the game!

Roolz cards are like “rules” that I have to follow as long as the card is in play, or else I have to pay a penalty.

There are 3 types of Roolz cards:

• GLOBAL ROOLZ affect all players. If I draw one, I put it in the middle of the gameboard and everyone has to follow that rule all the time, or else they have to pay the penalty. Global Roolz stay in play unless another card tells me to remove them.
• TALKING ROOLZ only affect me, the player who drew the card. I can’t have more than 1 Talking Roolz card in play at the same time. I put the Talking Roolz card in front of me as a reminder. If I get caught not following the rule, I have to pay the penalty, but I still keep the card in play!

ACTION ROOLZ are cards that only affect the player who drew them. Remember, you can only have one Action Roolz card in play at a time. Place the card in front of you as a reminder. If you break the rule on the card, you must pay the penalty, but the card stays in play!

There are a few important things to know about all Roolz cards:

If you break a Roolz card rule and no one notices, it means you got away with it! So, keep an eye on other players and their Roolz cards to make sure they’re following the rules.

If you ever want to get rid of any or all of your Roolz cards during the game, you can go back to the start, discard your Roolz cards, and start again.

Once you’ve chosen a topic (if you have a choice), the game begins! The player who drew the card will start by giving a valid answer. Then, it’s the next player’s turn to give another valid answer. This pattern continues, moving to the left, until the round ends.

The round ends in one of three ways:

• If a player can’t think of a valid answer, they’re out.
• If a player gives an answer that has already been said, they’re out too.
• If a player takes too long (around 10 seconds) to come up with a valid answer, they’re also out.
