Pengoloo Game Rules
Welcome to the exciting world of Pengoloo! I’ll be your guide as we dive into the rules of this captivating game. So, let’s get started!
In Pengoloo, the goal is to collect six eggs of the same color by using your memory and strategy. The adorable penguin characters will accompany us throughout this thrilling adventure. They have hidden their eggs under the icebergs, and it’s up to you to find them!
When it’s your turn, you’ll roll the two colored dice. These dice will reveal which penguin’s eggs you can search for. Take a sharp mental note of the colors you roll, as it’s essential for this game.
Now, take your time and lift one of the colorful penguin figures. Carefully, confirm if the egg matches one of the colors rolled on the dice. If it does, congratulations! You’ve found a match, and you can keep the egg. But, don’t forget to remember the positions of the other eggs, as this will benefit you later.
If the egg doesn’t match the colors on the dice, gently place it back under the iceberg, keeping its position a secret. This way, you won’t give anything away to your opponents.
After your turn, it’s time for the next player to take their shot at finding matching eggs. The game continues in this manner until someone collects six eggs of the same color. Once that happens, they are the winner of Pengoloo!
Isn’t it fascinating how this game challenges our memory skills while also delivering heaps of fun? You never know which color eggs you’ll find, adding an element of surprise and excitement to every turn.
Remember, Pengoloo is not only a game of chance but also a game of strategy. Keep track of the colors you’ve uncovered and use that knowledge to your advantage. By doing so, you increase your chances of finding matching eggs in the future, leaving your opponents in awe of your penguin prowess.
So, are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey through the icy world of Pengoloo? I’m sure you’ll have a blast finding those hidden eggs and becoming the ultimate Pengoloo master. Good luck and happy egg hunting!

- 12 Colored Eggs
- 4 Iceberg Scoring Boards
- 2 Colored Dice
- Rulebook
Object of the Game
Your goal is to be the first player to collect six penguins with their eggs.
Setup
To start, each penguin gets an egg. Shuffle the penguins and put them in the center of the table. Each player gets an iceberg scoring board.
Let’s Play the Game!
Hey there, it’s time to have some fun! We’re going to play a super cool game. Are you ready? Let’s get started!
First things first, we need to know how to play. Don’t worry, I’ll explain everything to you. The game is played in a clockwise direction, which means we’ll take turns going around the circle. We’ll start with the youngest player and go from there. Easy peasy, right?
Now, when it’s your turn, you’ll need to roll the dice. That’s how we determine which colors of eggs we’re looking for. You’ll have two tries per turn to find two hidden eggs that match the colors on the dice. Sounds like a challenge, doesn’t it?
Oh, and here’s the fun part. Every time you lift a penguin, all players have to see the color of the hidden egg. It’s like a secret that we all get to share!
Okay, now that you know the rules, it’s time to get rolling and find those eggs. Let the game begin!

- If you don’t find any of the matching eggs, put the penguins back on their eggs and it’s the next player’s turn.
- If you find one of the matching eggs, place the corresponding penguin with its egg in front of your iceberg and it’s the next player’s turn.
- If you find two matching eggs, put both penguins with their eggs in front of your iceberg and play again.
You can also look for matches in penguins that you or your opponents have already collected (just don’t take them). Once a penguin is collected, it can’t be taken away from the iceberg.
Players are not allowed to shuffle penguins that have already been collected.

Game Choices
Hey there! Let’s talk about the different options you have in the game.
First, players have the power to help or trick other players with their moves.
If you’re an experienced player (recommended for ages 6 and up), there’s an extra rule for you! On top of taking penguins from the middle, you can also snatch penguins from your opponents. So, be ready for some strategic play!
Now, here’s an interesting twist – you can move the eggs from one iceberg to another. That adds another layer of excitement to the game!
The End of the Game
Alright, let’s talk about how to win this game.
The first person to collect six penguins is the winner! Woohoo!
But wait, there’s more! If the last penguin from the middle of the table is taken and no one has collected six penguins yet, the player with the most penguins wins. So, keep an eye on those penguins!
And in case there’s a tie (when two or more players have the same number of penguins), the player who took the last penguin will be the ultimate winner. So, timing is key!
